I really enjoyed BvS. Great performances, stellar cinematography by Fong, the serious tone and the JLA/INJUSTICE setup.

I wipe my *** with critics reviews. Let those fools continue to worship generic superhero crap like IRON MAN 3 & ANT-MAN. Let them laugh all throughout their CBMs like morons.

Yeah, well, it's not like BvS is revolutionary. The plot is rather mundane, albeit filled with uneccessary "easter eggs" (more like in your face eggs...), the "risks" are by-the-numbers, and what it does try to do differently, it mostly fails at. IMO always of course. But I see folks keep using the same.damn.argument. over and over and over and over and over again and repeating the same things... I didn't hate it, and I certainly didn't love the afformentioned movies, but let's not pretend that BvS is a marvel of cinema that transcends the CBM medium and breaks the mold...

Can't wait for JLA, preferably without Snyder.

Yep, on that I'll agree...

Overall I really enjoyed BvS, and i'll be getting a second viewing tomorrow. I think i need a second watch to absorb everything I saw, and to appreciate all the little nods to the DC universe that it tried to squeeze in. And it would also be nice not having the projector crash 5 minutes into the film this time! Cineworld, man...:slap

*My negative points to the film being the 3D was thoroughly underwhelming (as to be expected these days) and that the Meta human JL push seemed a little forced.
*The positive points I can touch on would be the action sequences, the films OST, how cool Affleck was as Batman & Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and the build up towards the BvS showdown (the music to accompany it was epic, superhero training montage scene HELL YEAH). I certainly wasn't disappointed with Synder's Batman and the costume design for all the characters. I need me an Armoured Bats after seeing this!

I've found your delusions about BvS amusing until now. If you're going to start comparing it to ESB I'm not sure I can keep writing it off as hibernation sickness.
Well, after Winter Soldier came out, Khev said that it was par with Raiders of the Lost Ark and the Empire Strikes Back. So, that's not off the table.

As for the Todd-is-Joker theories, yeah, they do seem much more likely now. It also explains why Batman hasn't killed him yet. I mean, there's no way he'd bring himself to kill his son. And the Robins are his sons. Problem is, Quinn isn't created by the Joker, but by Todd, which is okay, I guess, but eh... Still, like with Eisenberg, it leaves the door open for Joker Sr. to appear if they go down that route.

I don't think there's going to be a "Joker Sr." I think this is just a new approach to the character where Todd went bat**** and during a fight with Bruce got dipped in the acid.

I can see the solo movie being about Batman & Robin's pursuit of a serial killer who brutally kills criminals. Then Bruce learns Jason's the guy he'd been looking for all along.

When it came out I said that as a "pure action movie" it was up there with Raiders (not as an overall film) and I never compared it to ESB you lying son of a

Just re-read Hush. I know most people think its overrated and just an excuse to have the best of batman characters in a battle royale, but I really think it'd suit the next solo batman movie better than a red hood movie. Of course it'd have to be adapted to a much tighter script.

Trying to stick every major Bat-villain into the movie, through a series of consecutive encounters. . .would be hard to pull off well IMO.

Personally, I would like them to do an original kind of story, instead of something derivative of an existing comic storyline.

Unless we're talking Crisis on Infinite Earths, of course.

I hoped they used characters they have not used yet in any movie. Im glad Croc is being used in Suicide Squad at least.
