When RDJ is done they will have a different chracter/actor play IM..I hope. Biggest mistake ever would be trying to keep Stark and cast a look/act-a-like for him
I think Disney will do just that. They've referenced James Bond on more than one occasion, basically just having different actors playing the same "ever young" characters like the ones we have in the comics.

I don't know that they'll replace RDJ with someone who'll impersonate him (just like Roger Moore didn't impersonate Connery) but he'll definitely still be playing Tony Stark.
So unlike the Batman movies where each one is technically a reboot Disney will just keep on replacing actors and keep the stories set within the same universe?
First off, a 55-70% 2nd weekend drop-off isn't at all unusual. Secondly; that's just Domestic. I think people tend to forget that this film will make 60-70% of its box office overseas.
Anyone know the formula, studios keep half of box office?
Theaters keep the other 50% cut plus 100% concessions obviously.
You guys should google how much the theaters made on concessions for TDK/TFA, .... the record holders.
WB should've just released the R cut.

I think China keeps 75% of ticket money if I remember correctly. Other countries keep 50-75%
Theaters in the US it depends on the studio, George Lucas made theaters give him 90% of the money for the first weeks of the prequels being in theaters .
after a couple of weeks they got more. some studios ask for more, some get half.
I already didn't take my kids because of the tub scene. Might as well have just made it full R if the PG-13 version is going to have elements unsuitable for small children.
Yeah I agree. It's strengths to me anyway is when it got closer to Watchmen and the classic hardcore Batman novels.
This surely has been a disaster selling toys to kids. It's just not the right time for kids.
I agree about the R. If DC wants to be all "serious" and "mature", why care for the "kiddies", as others put it? Go full-on R then. Give me a Batman movie that's like Fincher's thrillers for example.
With DC, it's a total crap shoot. But with Marvel Studios, they are so successful that I don't see any changes for at least 5 or 6 years. Unless Avengers 3 flops or something.I'll be very curious to see where Marvel and DC go with these franchises when their current incarnations (casts, etc.,) are over. West, Keaton, Kilmer, Bale, and Affleck have all played very different Batmen for instance each in their own unique pocket universe. No reboot has ever really overlapped that which had come before. I wonder where they'll go next?
I guess Marvel already replaced Bruce Banner while keeping the "universe" intact so maybe we won't see much difference over the years with the MCU.
Tub scene doesn't bother me for kids (I must have a more European sensibility when it comes to that kind of thing), but the vibe of sadness and despair draping over everything does. Also, the brutality of the Batman fights. I'm talking < 10 year olds, though. If I were 12, I would have probably fell in love with this movie.I already didn't take my kids because of the tub scene.
