Hmmm those are some pretty interesting choices.

Fincher would be great for a Darth Maul movie, even better if it was a direct adaptation of the Lockdown novel.

Villeneuve would be great for a Boba Fett movie.

The force awakens had different personalities. Batman vs Superman had two brooding dark heroes. There was no dichotomy between the two. You either got beat down and branded by Batman or flown through a wall with Superman. Star Wars had the hardened old man the plucky new hero and the innocent girl who knew how to fly and fix mechanical things although she lived on a desert planet.

BvS>SWTFA

I think Force Awakens is overrated as **** and boring as a sequel but it's a far more competent and better made movie compared to BvS. BvS is a mess, I don't see how someone looking at that in post production didn't look at these cuts and edits and think "man, this needs fixing". I wonder what test audiences thought. I wonder what Affleck thought.

BvS does offer more in terms of new stuff with that God theme though as opposed to Force Awakens' safe n' friendly soft reboot/remake.

Difabio, I wish I could've seen the production stuff you saw before the movie was released. Your reaction to the final product compared to what you were saying before the movie came out is the most fascinating thing about BvS. IMO

Agree 100%

Forget the 3 hour cut, I can't wait for Affleck's DVD commentary from BVS! :lol

After watching this movie, all i have to say is that this movie should've been at least 2 to 3 movies down the DCEU line.

In a perfect world it would have gone like this:

-MAN OF STEEL (June 13, 2013)
-THE BATMAN (June 11, 2015) *ends with the opening of BvS with Bruce arriving in Metropolis
-MAN OF STEEL II (March 24, 2016)
-SUICIDE SQUAD (August 4, 2016)
-WONDER WOMAN (June 1, 2017)
-BATMAN v SUPERMAN (November 16, 2017) *opens with the end of THE BATMAN

Thus completing a "DCEU Phase I".

I'd actually like to see Ben confront everyone who posts those dumb "Sad Affleck" memes. That would actually be :lol

Seriously.

Its absurd how much people get off from bashing BvS. The movie crossed $800 Million worldwide in less than a month with a March release despite being critically panned. I don't think people understand what constitutes as "failure".

BvS is far from it and I think this upsets the bandwagon hence their relentless quest to troll the film via memes and gifs to no end.
