I think Force Awakens is overrated as **** and boring as a sequel but it's a far more competent and better made movie compared to BvS. BvS is a mess, I don't see how someone looking at that in post production didn't look at these cuts and edits and think "man, this needs fixing". I wonder what test audiences thought. I wonder what Affleck thought.





BvS does offer more in terms of new stuff with that God theme though as opposed to Force Awakens' safe n' friendly soft reboot/remake.

Difabio, I wish I could've seen the production stuff you saw before the movie was released. Your reaction to the final product compared to what you were saying before the movie came out is the most fascinating thing about BvS. IMO

Difabio always brings the best posts and the greatest thing about his posts is that the bvs defenders are too afraid to call him a troll

Sarcasm/Humor quickly loses it's effect when the same thing is repeated 57 times every day.

Maybe it is a cultural/generational thing. The Internet generation doesn't seem to get this. Everyone (good and bad) gets run into the ground with a quickness.

Yeah, I get that. There are lots of things that blow up on the Internet and are seen far too many times afterwards. Twitter and Facebook are terrible for that kind of thing, but it's not worth losing sleep over.

Oh man, that's rich. Unfortunately, the WB DC stuff is going to be bringing Affleck the bacon for a good, long while, so we probably won't hear his honest opinions about BVS et al. for a decade.

True, but it's kind of sad when you think about it. A movie with DC's Trinity should have been the greatest thing since God invented breasts.

It wasn't a video he made, that was the commentary track for the Criterion Armageddon DVD that he did with Willis and Bay (though all three were recorded separately.) So it was funny to hear Bay going off about how great and epic his movie was and then it'd switch to Affleck for a little bit who was just mercilessly mocking parts of the film and Bay's decisions.

When the DVD came out reviewers were gushing about the fact that Ben's commentary was more entertaining than the movie itself so I picked it up and sure enough laughed my ass off all the way through it.

There's another legendary audio commentary (by Schwarzenegger I believe) that is also supposed to be hilarious but I no longer remember which movie it was for.
