I think every single extra in that finale did a terrible job, especially the ones playing cops...

:lol :lol

Same reason there isn't any blood or any real graphic violence or ****ies or innuendo. The Nolan Batman movies are sterilized.

:lol

Yup, the famous TDK leg wiggle to insinuate getting shot in the knees. :lol

Practical, CGI or not, The Bat still looked like ****. I remember seeing some crazy remix video on youtube of the little orphans on the bridge looking at the Bat across the bay with dub step playing in the background and cracking up. Any time I think of the Bat, I either think of "it's not a carrrrrr" or that shot of it flying around with the bomb. That thing is so ****ing stupid.

:exactly:
I don't think that final battle had 11, 000 extras. I think the 11,000 is the sum of the entire production, including the football stadium and any other scenes involving extras. Still, I'll take the last 30 minutes of TDKR over the CGI crap in AOU and most "big" CGI battles in modern films. :)

:goodpost:

Nothing happens in that battle, remove the citizens and the ending remains the same.

Their hand to hand fighting, and lame fighting at that, had zero narrative impact I don't care how practical it was.

Worst Batman movie vehicle.

Tumbler's design is far worst and the car was less practical than the Bat. Keaton's car looked cool, but it was the worst superhero vehicle ever. That thing couldn't make a turn without shooting a rope and it needed a hydraulic foot to turn the car 180 degrees :lol

C'moooooon :lol

the CGI boogeyman strikes again.

It's true, AOU CGI robots are garbage...there's no weight to them. You can tell the actors aren't fighting anything...even Hawkeye is shooting imaginary arrows, and it looks terrible.

I don't like Age of Ultron but,

This resolution/climax to the final battle,

is better than this one

BY JIM VEJVODA Charles Roven -- the producer of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, and next year's Wonder Woman -- is reportedly "no longer producing certain DC movies" as Warner Bros. continues shaking things up post-BvS. The studio recently put comics maestro Geoff Johns and veteran Warners exec Jon Berg in charge of DC Films.

That means Roven is no longer producing Aquaman or The Flash. Roven is current;y on the set of Justice League: Part One, but THRreports "Warners now has sent Berg to also oversee the day-to-day production of that movie."

According to THR: "Talks are underway to have Roven ... segue to a different role going forward, likely that of an executive producer who is not involved in day-to-day production. However, he potentially could continue to be a producer on some sequels to the movies he's currently producing."

Positioned as the launchpad for a shared DC movie universe, Batman v Superman was met with critical disdain and a lukewarm response from filmgoers. Warners hoped BvS would crack the $1 billion mark at the global box office, but it won't (unlike Captain America: Civil War, which passed that milestone in less than a month). BvS also made less domestically than the far cheaper (and R-rated) Deadpool.
