I don't remember much about this mess but why would anything being burned in Africa automatically lead to superman? That can be common.

Marvel characters have been shot in the head but it's been the characters who aren't phased by it. Iron Man, Hulk, Wolverine, Black Panther and I think Deadpool likely did.

I thought the same thing, at first, but, when you combine the destruction of the drone (man, between that and the MoS ending, Snyder Superman really hates drones.:lol), Lois Lane's involvement, the charred bodies, and Luthor's "witness," there are quite a few indications that Superman could've been involved. They'd have just cause to investigate it, at the very least, which they did. I really liked Holly Hunter's Senator Finch. She never seemed like she was on some sort of anti-Superman witch hunt, she just seemed like someone who wanted to try and figure out what the hell was going on.

Ok, Gaspar then can you at least answer me as to why Luther killed Mercy, and how are
they going to bring Clark back? Other than turning back the world that guy is done.

I'd say it's the combination of wanting to tie up loose ends and divert suspicion from himself. Not only does he erase the only person, other than himself, who knows the specifics of his plan, but he can hide behind his grief at the death of his most trusted associate. It still looks suspicious that he was the only one gone, but not quite as conspicuous as if all LuthorCorp representatives had left right before the blast.

I know this question is meant for Gaspar, but I'll give it a try.

1. Why Luthor killed Mercy?

Because he's a villain. :lol

2. How can they bring back Clark?

Well, both Sups and Clark coming back from the dead is suspicious, but Clark's death was not front page news because Sups was the headline and Clark isn't a celebrity so most people won't care probably. However, I think Clark's friends and coworkers have to know the truth and keep his secret, which would be a big change, but maybe a good thing because the whole glasses thing is a bit silly in a world of HD cameras anyway. Also, there are a few people in Smallville that know Sup's secret, so what's a few more people.

I'm ok with your first answer, Prince, but the second is a little iffy. I get that the whole town of Smallville knows that Clark is Supes, but the rest of the world? They might as well as put a bullseye on his mom's head.

Pretty much. TL;DR: It's Lex Luthor.

I honestly have no idea how they'll bring back Kent, my gut reaction tells me they're probably not gonna, or if they do, they're probably gonna deal with it until Man of Steel 2.

My pipe dream: it's all tied together with the comics, there's no real Clark Kent in the comics either, he was exposed as Superman and died just before REBIRTH, so I hope it's all connected with the entire DC universe and it will end up with a movie universe reboot, and possibly another comicbook universe reboot too.

He didn't say the whole town, he said some of his friends, and it's always been like that. I disagree about the glasses thing though, I think it'd work, Cavill himself took a stroll around New York and he was stopped only twice by people to ask him directions :lol

Not the whole world, just Perry White and his other coworkers. The world doesn't care about Clark Kent because he's not famous. His obituary was small and his death was completely overshadowed by Superman's death.

Easiest way to bring him back, turns out Clark Kent wasn't dead, he was covering some big story undercover.

But that's too silly for the Snyderverse, it would be great though. **** I want a silver age Supes movie.

That'd be a good solution.

The only good thing Max Landis did was that a lot of people knew about Clark's secret and helped him keep it, like the sheriff of Smallville, that's the perfect solution and better than any other attempts of modernizing that aspect.

I like how the MCU heroes don't have a secret identity, but I know there are some practical reasons and benefits to having a secret identity. However, it seems to me that a secret becomes less problematic the more people know about it because the hero doesn't have to worry about hiding and lying constantly because it becomes like a small team of people that can assist in some ways. I'm not saying every single person working for the Daily Planet should know the truth, but some of his close coworkers, the JL members, and some people in Smallville and even that General from Matrix Reloaded should know too. That guy should be Martian Man Hunter disguised as a military guy.

I like it when they do have a secret to keep.

Just like in
Arkham Knight
when Batman's identity is exposed, it's not fun hearing the street thugs calling him out on it.

They could just said clark dying was the result of "FAKE NEWS SITES" lying.

They can always say they made a mistake reporting the death because of following a fake news story

But his body was in the open coffin in his mom's living room. Unless you have a neuralizer that's a stretch.
