Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

It's intellectually sophisticated ones you should fear the most, because usually they're ones in power positions and "anyone who has power, fears to lose it".

Superman's very discovery could create mass hysteria, not to mention theres plenty of lunatics who will gladly use him as an excuse for war. You think muslim terrorist feel they have anything to lose when they know america just got a hold a super human, basically the sickest most powerful drone imaginable if he works for them?

Obama doesn't even have a defcon level for this. There's no telling what insane ******** people around the world might retaliate with. If anything man of steel was weak in depicting the world as it really is. (I bet DiFabio's now like now who's the cynical one?:lol)

Ok. With this in mind how should the world react to Superman after he battled aliens that look exactly like us leveled a major city and destroyed a town? Should we trust him? Should the government? He just crashed a 20 million dollar satellite on a road in front of a general. Does he deserve our trust or our fear?

It's a Sunday night and I'm just killing some time until they reveal the Affleck Batsuit and/or Batmobile.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I think you'll genuinely see pretty much every response you can imagine. Some will be down to earth, cause hey superman did what he could and it's better than extinction. Others will probably be pretty much exactly like the real world haters. And everything in between.

We as audience know he deserves a lot of good will, as superman genuinely did what he could as a rookie. (other films are irrelevant because this is a reboot.)

But I hope to know in 2016 what the people's responses will be.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I dunno who said it but i agree that this is probably the Best movie of its genre.
It has big flaws but so many good things.
The two big flaws for me are pa Kent death and the abrupt Métropolis battle aftermath.

The world of MOS is basically our world, and in a world like our different people are feared, dismissed, threaten.
But i just cant see a father putting such fear in his child, telling him to let other kids die in order to keep him safe from harm.
Thats too bleak even for a realistic take on Supes, it feels unrealistic.
To dark for the sake of it. You raise that child to be carefull but also to tame his powers, to control them.
Pa put so much fear in Clark that he just froze when it was Time to act.
When pa said no dont save me what i heard was "if you do this they Will burn our house, eat our dog and râpe your mother, no dont save me we Will all Die in atrocious pain"
Saving pa Kent should have been the birth of superman in this version.
The moment where he shows that the gift he had was a blessing, yet to be tamed, but a blessing nonetheless.
Clark has already been super, the and there doing stuff when he was a kid so he probably tested his force, his speed etc...
So by the Time the tornade hits he s not flying but can clearly do other stuff, like going fast.
Other than Lois knowing Supes secret identity, they should have kept pa Kent alive.
His death serves no meaning that supes status itself could not do.
He feels alienated, wants to know where he is from, how the world would react, all that is more than enough to make angsty.
And seriously going back to save the dog????? Come one i love dogs but if the father of the mightiest Heroes of all is going to die make it over something else, a kid, his mom not a ******* dog!!!

https://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/201...ils-plans-for-justice-league-movie-exclusive/

Though its been longtime speculated and hinted at, Greg Silverman, the president of production at Warner Bros. has confirmed today via The Wall Street Journal's Speakeasy that a Justice League movie is definitely in the pipeline and it will follow Zack Snyder's still untitled Man of Steel sequel. “It will be a further expansion of this universe,” he said. “’Superman vs Batman’ will lead into ‘Justice League.’” That's not all. Silverman says that the script for Justice League is still in development and there is no release date set (likely after 2018), but Zack Snyder will return to direct the superero ensemble film with Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot among others expected to reprise their Batman vs. Superman roles. Greg Silverman kept mum on exactly which heroes will join the trinity of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, but the recent casting of Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and rumors of the Flash, Nightwing, and Aquaman appearing could be a clue. As for Gadot flying solo as Princess Diana in a Wonder Woman movie, Warner Bros. sadly have no plans for that, but are open to the possibilty. “That is our hope,” said the president of marketing Sue Kroll. “With the right script, that could be viable. The world is ready for her.” Anyhow, other DC Comics properties that are heading to the big-screen, though not connected to the developing Justice League universe, include Shazam, Metal Men, 100 Bullets, and Fables. What do you think?

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I was hoping WB will forget MOS and re-reboot Superman in 5 or so years. Get another actor too because I heard Cavill is gay.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I ain't never seen a dumber sacrifice than the one Pa Kent committed.

I enjoyed the Tornado scene, I really don't understand all of the hatred this forum has towards it. Pa Kent genuinely feared for his son's safety, and how people would react if they knew who Clark really was. Clark was willing to let his Father die because of this, he trusted him. I thought it was a very emotional, well acted scene.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

So Snyder is the man:

Confirming a world of suspicions, Warner Bros. has announced that the long-rumoured Justice League of America movie will follow Batman vs. Superman, and Zack Snyder is on board to direct.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Warner Bros. president of worldwide production Greg Silverman announced that the movie will be directed by Bats vs. Supes helmer Snyder, and Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) are all expected to return.

“It will be a further expansion of this universe,” explained Silverman. “Superman vs Batman will lead into Justice League."
It's a ways off, however: the JLA script is currently still in development and the film is unlikely to open before 2018.
