Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

DOFP, MOS, ASM2 threads are all filled with that.

DOFP is looking brighter as the release date approaches. Worst you have in there are users coming in mocking Singer for his antics or his choice of costumes. I've never seen anyone go in there and blast others for liking aspects of the movie, not even Deckard.

MoS, I've never seen anyone go into those threads and feel hurt that people seem to love the movie because they don't. If anything, it's usually ripping death by tornado scenes and a morose tone in a tongue and cheek matter that causes defenders to jump in and cry in foaming frenzies.

ASM2, same as above. "Man, Electro, the plots, etc. sucks hard, that was awful" --> "No it's not, stop being so negative, it was fine!"

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I’m on no side, but I’m able to critique things in a more mature way so that I don’t ruin the excitement for the guys who are really looking forward to this. All it does is cause arguments and constant back and forth bickering. Not saying every member here is like that, but some comments do seem intentionally provoking.

Good to see people on here think like this. Seems like its in the norm to whine about a movie thats in development than become excited. Its quite sad.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I think the reality is that this particular franchise is so divisive that general fans of the characters don't mix anymore.

Opinions are too far apart. Some people utterly despise what others completely adore. It's kinda getting ridiculous.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I think it will be great being in the ticket line and seeing the people with the dumb grin on their faces asking for tickets for Batman versus Superman, like me, and then others who ask for Dawn of Justice tickets. These characters are so huge, and Zach is obviously a massive comic book fan, so he knew the excitement people would get from the title.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Ben Affleck would have been 12 years old in 1984. I think it'd be cool if they modernized his origin a little and said that his parents were murdered by Russian paratroopers.

Batman v Superman: Red Dawn of Justice

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I also honestly still do not understand why you'd constantly be in this thread if you hate man of steel so much. This franchise isn't suddenly gonna do a 180. You're really naive if you expect that. For all intents and purposes this is going to be a Snyder/Goyer film and it's going to expand man of steel's approach and tone, not correct it.

Snyder's approach is, for a while, here to stay, I don't see this suddenly becoming Iron Man or Avengers. It's gonna be the same gritty tone and the same heavy handed thematic material. There's really no indication to suspect otherwise. Especially seeing who they're casting and where they're taking the story.

So honestly, I can't do much more than either laugh at or pity the haters of man of steel because... you guys probably ain't getting what you want anytime soon... I don't see that in any reasonable line of expectancy. Please tell me why you would.

And in the mean time you can keep spewing your hate but honestly, at some point it's just ruining your own image as a board member. People will eventually get insulted by an unnecessary and unreasonable amount of hate...

(My *****ing about the title is honestly not even that serious, I don't think it's exactly the best title they could've chosen but oh well, it IS JUST a title, I do agree.)

Batman v Superman: Red Dawn of Justice

Lol, Wayne's parents were an assasination plot carried out by WS?XD

Batman v Superman: Red Dawn of Justice

That might be an awesome way to go to do Red Son.

That's funny because not making a "MoS 2" does seem like a 180. :lol

Just like the jump and shift from ASM to ASM2 (or a lot of sequels out there), there have been drastic changes in tone and theme from sequel to sequel. It certainly wouldn't be out of the question for a Warner Bros. film (*cough* previous Batman and Superman movies *cough*).

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Those are cute points and they are true, but really? Does that really convince you enough?:lol

I'm sure Superman will be more superman-y (for whatever nonsense that means), but I think the chance is very small that you're gonna LOVE this film when you HATED man of steel...

Things change.

Can't say anything definitively until May 6th, 2016. This film will have different ingredients than MoS, that's for sure. So it might taste better, it might taste about the same, or it might be worse. I don't know.

Read that in my Keaton voice. God I love Batman Returns!

We've seen sequels with the same director as the previous movie do 180's in quality for the worse (Spider-Man 3, etc.), have we ever seen it for the better? The closest I can think of would be the improvement of ROTS over AOTC, though I can't imagine anyone hoping for BvS to be "another ROTS."

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I recently re-watched Iron Man 3, and enjoyed it more than the second. I know people hate it, but I'm a fan of their version of the Tony Stark character.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Oh oops! Sorry, I completely read your question wrong. I was thinking sequel directed by a different director.

X2 was that for me. I really liked it compared to the first. Those were both Singer, right? The first was a good movie, but it didn't click like it's sequel for me.

Also a good point. If anything changes, it usually gets worse.

But I'll be over here, very content with MoS, and hella excited for this.

Only thing that can ruin it for me is if they make Batman a narrow-minded ******* just to amp up his antagonistic role. And I guess I'm in the minority in not liking Miller's TDKR.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I wonder if batman and supes will kiss in this film? Would be funny and weird.
