Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
But you have people who have complained non stop about every little thing: the title, the casting, the writing(even though we haven't seen anything), the director, etc. Hell for a while this thread was another bash MOS thread. And it frequently reverts back to that, or people *****ing about Gadot's bust size. Some of the positivity is just a reaction to all the negativity. Or you know, someone is genuinely excited about the film and can't wait to see their fav characters together. If this films sucks I will gladly call it out for it, but we don't have any clue one way or the other yet.
Then maybe there shouldn't be a discussion at all. Lock this thread up until 2016. I never see any of the naysayers complaining about people that are hyped for any particular movie. It's always the other way around. There are people in here that are genuinely unimpressed with the title, the casting, the writers, etc. Why can't we simply let them be.
I for one,
- didn't like MoS, at all
- don't like Goyer
- think the premise of including or setting up any hero/heroine other than Batman and Superman is cheap
- think the title is trash
- have little interest, possibly faith, in Gadot (whose talent I can only gauge from commercials and Fast and the Furious movies)
- unsure of how Affleck or Eisenberg will play out
- love the casting of Jeremy Irons for Alfred
- love this being a Batman vs. Superman flick
- love the Batman suit/vehicle reveal
And I've been vocal about it too. Where does that put me? I just find it strange that it seems acceptable to be vocally positive about aspects of a project, but the people that come in that say that they don't like it and it sucks are looked at differently. We all like/don't like different things, so what? The people that like every bit that has come out of this movie shouldn't feel ostracized because of it, but that's how they feel every damn time! I don't get it. You guys make it seem like "oh, they're spoiling our fun with their negativity!" It's just a movie, we can all express what ever we want about it.
I’m on no side, but I’m able to critique things in a more mature way so that I don’t ruin the excitement for the guys who are really looking forward to this. All it does is cause arguments and constant back and forth bickering. Not saying every member here is like that, but some comments do seem intentionally provoking.
Well maybe some people need to have a thicker skin if they see someone coming in here stating that "I thought MoS was garbage" or "that title blows" as personal attacks or provoking.
