Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

The age-old debate of who is worse--the critics, or the critics of the critics?

I have to say, Batman v. Superman: Dog **** is a title I could totally get behind. Particularly if it was about the global ramifications of Krypto's radioactive poop.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

If Krypto happens to be in this, Ace the Bat-hound better damn well be.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I cant belive people are complaining about the title of the movie are you kidding

It happens we don't got nothing else to talk about would you rather us talk about Ben Affleck wondering how bad or good he will do.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Don't worry, this franchise isn't a believer in holding back. We won't have to wait until the inevitable "Legion of Super Pets" movie. This one will have Krypto, Ace, Beppo the Super Monkey, Comet the Super Horse, AND Streaky the Super Cat.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Or, they think the title is lame and are simply commenting how and why it's bad to them?

It's like this movie could have been called "Batman v Superman: Dog ****" and some of you guys would get up in arms about the people complaining about it. There is no ulterior motive here, people are merely sharing their thoughts on each new tidbit that gets released. They think it's a weak title, they can ***** about it. I'm not sure which side is worse, the people that are cynical and not buying into the project or the people that are disgustingly positive and look to defend every little criticism.

I think it's like "yin" and "yang." One side spawns the other and it forms an endless loop.

But you have people who have complained non stop about every little thing: the title, the casting, the writing(even though we haven't seen anything), the director, etc. Hell for a while this thread was another bash MOS thread. And it frequently reverts back to that, or people *****ing about Gadot's bust size. Some of the positivity is just a reaction to all the negativity. Or you know, someone is genuinely excited about the film and can't wait to see their fav characters together. If this films sucks I will gladly call it out for it, but we don't have any clue one way or the other yet.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

This title is almost a synopsis though...

This film better bring a lot of **** that's NOT in the title else it's *drumroll* super disappointing.

Man....I hate the title, but I can't do anything about it, so I'm just trying to see the bright side. I agree with you. It'll be like watching fireworks. For 5 mintutes, it's pretty awesome, but after that, I'm bored. That's why I didn't enjoy the Avengers, because I needed a plot that I could be invested in.

I am actually curious as to what WW costume will look like and how they will explain her powers , because the way she is in comics daughter of a goddess and stuff like that its gonna need some rework .

Don't expect them to explain anything about WW she might just have a small part even though she's WW.

I would love to see a movie or movies with a purely Golden/Silver Age take on these characters with all of the crazy **** like super pets and Mr Myxyzptlk and Bat-Mite. Superman fighting giant 50's style atomic robots. I'm sure they would be box office bombs, but damn I bet they'd be fun to watch.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Only member who won't make it is Proty. Because that's just stupid. Anyone who wants Proty has probably never been laid before. That **** star Batmite will even get into the film before Proty.

I’m on no side, but I’m able to critique things in a more mature way so that I don’t ruin the excitement for the guys who are really looking forward to this. All it does is cause arguments and constant back and forth bickering. Not saying every member here is like that, but some comments do seem intentionally provoking.

I'm not totally sure if it would bomb or not, but I am pretty sure no studio exec. will have the guts to try it. The DC Animated films don't even really explore golden and silver age comics, apart from post-modern stories like New Frontier and All Star Superman. But I would totally support that. Embrace the fun, WB/DC!

Then maybe there shouldn't be a discussion at all. Lock this thread up until 2016. I never see any of the naysayers complaining about people that are hyped for any particular movie. It's always the other way around. There are people in here that are genuinely unimpressed with the title, the casting, the writers, etc. Why can't we simply let them be.

I for one,

- didn't like MoS, at all
- don't like Goyer
- think the premise of including or setting up any hero/heroine other than Batman and Superman is cheap
- think the title is trash
- have little interest, possibly faith, in Gadot (whose talent I can only gauge from commercials and Fast and the Furious movies)
- unsure of how Affleck or Eisenberg will play out

- love the casting of Jeremy Irons for Alfred
- love this being a Batman vs. Superman flick
- love the Batman suit/vehicle reveal

And I've been vocal about it too. Where does that put me? I just find it strange that it seems acceptable to be vocally positive about aspects of a project, but the people that come in that say that they don't like it and it sucks are looked at differently. We all like/don't like different things, so what? The people that like every bit that has come out of this movie shouldn't feel ostracized because of it, but that's how they feel every damn time! I don't get it. You guys make it seem like "oh, they're spoiling our fun with their negativity!" It's just a movie, we can all express what ever we want about it.

Well maybe some people need to have a thicker skin if they see someone coming in here stating that "I thought MoS was garbage" or "that title blows" as personal attacks or provoking.

I actually wouldn't say I hate the title but I think I've given reasonable arguments as to why I'm not fond of it. Titles are in general also just a great thing to poke fun at, has nothing to do for me whether I like the film.

I'd be fine with the title '****ing Awesome', cause that is what I expect it to be. But yeah, obviously some people here are just really bored and don't care who they annoy while being so, said that from the start I posted here.:lol

DOFP, MOS, ASM2 threads are all filled with that.
