Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Yeah, put me in the camp that doesn't want Lex manipulating Bruce or Diana. I would even prefer Bruce to be distrustful, but not an outright ***.
Yeah, Superman is the one who's always being a ****.

^^^

Yup, he'll need to be stopped.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Batman has been one who enforces order of the world and believes that entropy is the natural state of existence whereas Superman believes that order is the norm. These two types of people would not like each other.

It ain't the 40s/50s any more,

You say that like this is a good thing. Gloomy Gus Batman has had enough screen time for awhile. I for one would love to see a friendlier, lighter Batman show up for awhile and participate in a fun, non-Schumacher movie. But based on chronic depression man we saw in the first teaser shot of Affleck, I'm sure you'll have nothing to worry about.

Batman can still be a happy guy though! He just hates Superman. The latest suit pic might be his reaction in the beginning of the film at all the destruction Superman and Zod caused, that's all. Isn't that how you felt after seeing MoS?

Also, I hope Bruce Wayne steals Lois Lane away from Kal-El and he gets friend zoned (shouldn't be too hard after he sobbed in her lap after killing Zod). That would be true justice.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

How is that terribly laughable. They do so in the comics. They did so before new 52 as well. The only time they ever hated one another was in Miller's story. And it's clear they don't hate each other, but are just trying to prove a point.

Over 75+ years, there are lots of things that have happened in comics that are goofy, foolish and terrible.

We didn't even get a "friendlier, lighter" Superman. :lol

Yes. . .good point.

You guys have convinced me. Now that we already have moody, gritty Superman, we need a friendlier, more uplifting Batman to counterbalance him.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Well, until he's punching Hopeman's face in with his kryptonite knuckled fists.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I don't want them to fight. I'd like the movie to be about comparing their methodologies.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

There's a v in the title, they're gonna smack down.

Superman doesn't strike me as someone who would "sit down and talk".

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I doubt Superman could sit through a trial, look at what he did with that satellite.

Besides, I'd fear for the jury that would rule in favor of Batman, against Superman. They'd be turned to ash.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Yeah, you could be right. Remember how he smugly allowed himself to be handcuffed before demonstrating to the humans how inferior and weak they all were by breaking them like a child's toy?

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Violence is Goyer/Snyder Superman's way. Batman resolves his disputes with a friendly tone and a reason based out of understanding and empathy.

Even Adam West Batman had to use his fists from time to time.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I hope they make Batman a cynical, paranoid **** like the "hater" fans that think MoS sucked. He's pissed off and hates the fact that Superman went on a rampage through the city and broke a guy's neck, so he does everything in his power to stop him.

- as Batman, he creates Kryptonite, in order to stop/kill Superman
- as Bruce Wayne, he helps fund the rebuilding of Metropolis and doesn't support Supes
- he sees Kal-El as a super ***** that needs to be put in his place
- he mocks Superman because he's not a real man (literally)

It ends with Batman reluctantly becoming Superman's ally, but in reality, he's set up a massive surveillance counter system to prevent the attacks from further alien super *****es (and keeps some kryptonite handy just in case).

Is this sarcasm? Because that sounds like a good movie to me. But what is Wonder Woman doing all this time?
