Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Strong was awesome as Sinestro. It's a shame we'll never get to see him go full Yellow Lantern evil. No, that brief, mid-credit tease does not count.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

That new DC/WB film schedule is total bull ****! I don't trust DC/WB and I'm pretty sure as soon as one of those movies bombs, it's back to the cash cow/ safe choice, Batman. We're going to get a bunch of Batman and maybe Superman movies in the near future, especially if Shazam or Wonder Woman bomb. 10 movies in 5 years? Sounds like they are desperately trying to catch up with Marvel, without a plan. And that's the problem, WB/DC doesn't have a plan, imo.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

So basically Bruce Wayne is a whiner from the "Superman destroyed metropolis" camp ^^
Hence the V(s).

WB has never had a plan

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Ahhh there it is :lol

10 movies sounds like they're trying to catch up to Marvel? That's why the release date for their 2nd movie is 2 years away :lol the fact that they pushed back release for BvS shows they're not desperate, even if they brought 2 months closer, if six movies before their big event movie doesn't sound like a plan, then Avengers was a random success. :dunno

Not enough movies and people complain, we're promised 2 movies a year and there are still complaints :rotfl DC can't win no matter what :lol

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Mr. Wayne is gonna sue the **** out of Superman.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

It doesn't look like the two "event films" are part of the DC franchise.

What do you mean? Some sites list the 2 event films as 2 other regular DC movies.

Oh I see what you mean.

If they are not, it still leaves 4 or 5 movies before JL.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

It would be cool if event film meant some sort of x over between movies and TV characters

But they don't have a plan. What happens at the end of Iron Man? Nick Fury shows up and talks about the Avengers in the very first Marvel movie. Same summer, Hulk movie comes out, and who is in it? Tony Stark. What did WB do with MOS? Nothing. If they had a plan they would have shown Bruce Wayne in the batcave at the end of the film looking at all the destruction in metropolis or something, but they didn't. Instead, they said, how can we top MOS? Oh let's put batman in it and see what happens. :lol

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Are we in the golden age of superhero movies or what? Looks like Marvel and DC (if they actually make any of those films) will own the box office until 2020.

You cannot possibly know that, and everything points to WB having a plan, and you're quite right, after MoS everything was still uncertain, BvS was supposed to be MoS2, but that's ok since we're getting the DCCU now, who knows why they went and decided to put Batman in it, when MoS did WAY better than Iron Man and Batman begins, more than enough to warrant a sequel, they didn't have a plan then.

That was then.

Now it's more than clear they do have a plan.

So...based on that list Age of Ultron is the next superhero movie to be in theaters. Is that correct?

This could also be the beginning of the end, what I always feared when Marvel started pumping them out was that others would follow suit leading to this. Over saturation of comic book movies (adding in more Transformers, TMNT etc.) leading to the general public getting fed up of them. Hope I'm wrong tho. At least let it last until Marvel finishes the Thanos saga
