That's the thing. Besides being almost apologetically funny (I mean, he sets himself up as an insane maniac anyway, so who'd take him seriously?), a lot of what he says are things I've thought myself, and he even comes up with some doozies that hadn't even occurred to me. Much as I love Palpatine, his "master plan" as far as TPM goes is completely incomprehensible.

Totally agree I've been saying for years that Anakin should have been at least the age he was in AOTC in TPM.

Would have made him much more engaging and easy to relate to as some annoying kid with dumb luck.

Probably not. For all its faults (which are many) AOTC at least has an obvious focal character and is about something.

Finally got through all the parts. Fantastic! The guy was spot on about everything! Lucas should be ashamed of this. It was simply abysmal storytelling. Nothing to do with it being a "kid's movie", which is the reason Lucas always gives when defending PM.
