It's The Lord of the Rings and not even close for me. It's better directed, better story, better visuals, better characters, more depth to the story, and a better journey from start to finish.
I know I didn't mention the score but at worst it's a tie their. Shores work is equally as good.
Heresy!
So to you . . gay sex equals incest ?
That was pretty far from what I was saying, thanks for trying to put words in my mouth though.
there is a great innuendo joke here . . . I just can't think of it yet . . .
. . something about gay sex . . incest . . and your mouth . . .
Nope For me the emotion and feel that comes from listenting to The Lord of the Rings soundtrack is much higher than from the SW soundtracks.
The sense of sheer nostalgia I get from hearing the opening horns of the Star Wars theme blows anything I get listening to the LOTR soundtrack clear out of orbit. Hell, Williams' score is so ingrained in the world psyche that I'm willing to bet most instantly thing "Star Wars" when they hear 20th Century Fox's end theme during the searchlight logo sequence.
TheJosh, please. Just appease the rest of us and say that you like Star Wars better. It worked in Munich!I'm sorry you disapprove of my choice. SW is fun but nothing about it is better for me than The Lord of the Rings. I'm not going to say otherwise just to appease anyone.
Speaking as someone with a degree in music composition, I love Howard Shores work and it is very distinctive in sound... but nothing compares to the Skywalker theme, Yoda's theme, Leia's theme, the love theme from ESB. Not to mention Duel of the Fates. I even believe I would take Yub Nub over any of the LOTR themes... maybe....
I'd put the LOTR soundtrack ahead of Jedi Rocks though.
Star Wars, lotr has to much walking. Cut out the walking and it's maybe one short film.
