I really don't like Cumberbatch for Thrawn. Thrawn is very cold and calculating and needs a minimal, but strong performance. I think Mikkelson is coming back anyway.

Eh, Cumberbatch is overused but I still like him. He could do it, but it'd be similar to a mix between his Khan and Sherlock. So not exactly accurate, but at this point, good enough.

I don't buy it. Kathy purged whatever irrelevant material there was to pave the way forward. Hence why they have OT characters in Ep 7-9, covered the Death Star in Rogue One, ruined Han further in Solo, made a new Mando that really was Boba, destroyed Boba so you can accept Mando fully and now the Kathy Death Laser is on Obi-Wan. Cannot wait for the Qui-Gon show cause he isn't ruined yet. Oh and all these Rebels characters get shows cause yeah, whatever.

What is evident is that all they're doing is remaking the EU but worse and with their own OCs. So they'll do it, but with different characters, worse ripoffs and so on and so forth.

Kathleen cannot draw from any material cause there isn't any to draw from. True quote btw. It is best for the company to destroy the OT characters so that they can pave the way for their hollow and ultimately irrelevant new characters. World building starts with Tatooine and they'll go from there. She finally got some sucker to make a High Republic video game.

As for the High Republic, like I've said above, it's a ripoff, but I find the aesthetics pleasing enough for me to play the game if it's good. At least it's not more PT/OT/EU raping...

I agree, yeah. He looks okay with the beard, but he does have a goofy face. I can't see him as an Imperial Officer in the vein of Thrawn, who's a physical badass as well. He is tall and has gravitas, but it's not an exact match. He was pretty good as President Petrov though, so there's that. With the right makeup it could work. But seeing how cheap they are, how will they even give him the red eyes?

I'd like to see more of the Chiss in general, even though I don't trust Disney.

KK needs to stop talking. Her latest gabfest in EW and EW about the scripts being too bleak stuck a fork in it...it's done.

The show will quickly shift focus to the Reva character and her redemption with the help of Obi-Wan so he can make up for his self-precieved failure with Anakin. She'll go off onto her own D+ show while the audience is left scratching their head going "Obi who?"

If they were upfront about it and tried to do some fanservice, more people would come around it. Instead they're stuck in the mentality of antagonizing the established fanbase because... Hell if I know. They're literally copying the EU, twisting it, and pretending it's "new and exciting" material because they "never had source material for this". In her own words too. Just be honest, that's all I'm asking. I've said it before, but I'd have respected them more if they followed up on the ending of TLJ and went towards that direction. It was TROS that completely and utterly broke NuWars for me. I had my problems before with TCW taking over from GendyWars, so I was already heading towards "muh EU" mode. TFA & TLJ had their problems, Rogue One was a rewrite of Kyle Katarn's most notable adventure, but then TROS came about and completely ruined the one interesting plot thread TLJ left hanging.

When Disney bought LA I figured they'd try to adapt the old EU's most beloved points, then build something new around them. I wasn't expecting them to literally do the EU but worse, and pretend they weren't just mindlessly copying it the whole time. It's the hypocrisy that stings beyond it all.

Personally, I just don't care (well, I care enough to rant and be disappointed...). What's the point of getting Mara now since Luke will die alone on a rock? What's the point of Thrawn if Ashoka will just take cente stage? What's the point of the NJO if Luke's the same kind of PT-Era Jedi moron who doesn't let his students have attachments? At this point I'm more curious to see what Ezra and Thrawn were up to than any other retread of the EU. I'll never get Superman Luke and his hot redheaded wife, or Jacen's story or any of that. So what's the point? I'd rather see some OCs have some original adventures. I'd still love a Mara dolly, but I see no way for her to work. Unless of course they get Sebastian Stan for a Young Luke series (or series of movies), bring in Mara and off her in the process, with a son being stolen by... Somehow-Plagueis-has-returned or whatever, giving us Starkiller 2.0 or something. Luke gets brokenhearted and goes deeper into the PT Doctrine, leading to the ST events. I don't know, just give me my X-Men tier space opera, I'm not asking much. You can throw your Ahsokas and Ezras and Kanans in there, sure, just find a balance.

I just want the Skywalker redheads on the big screen... Luke, Jacen, Cade later; those were men of culture and taste. Hell, what else do I have to self-insert and live my fantasies through? Moulin Rouge? Benjamin Button? The Red Shoes?! Come on, I need some new material...

I love me some Hamm, ngl. He's been fancasted for tons of pop culture roles, but he passed on them to grow his dramatic career. Not a good gamble... It's a shame because I've read old interviews and he does come off as a legitimate comic book fan, as he's named some rather obscure, by normie standards, titles. I still hope he gets some meaty role like Mr Sinister or something. He's been my fancast for Reed Richards for a while now. You need that 50s American for Reed to work IMO and he's the most recent posterboy for it. Someone like Andrew Lincoln would rock the role as well, but that's another talk. I still don't know why people latched onto Jim from the Office of all people. I mean, I know, it's literally because he's goofy, has a beard and is married to a blonde actress. But come on...

This is Reed Richards. A man who's such a Chad that a literal supergenius sorcerer king who's smacked devils around still can't surpass him. Not Jim from the Office...

As for Reed, they should be looking for guys that embody the 50s American Image. Handsome, broad built, intelligent with some broodness. Not jokesters and comedians. Not lanklets. Reed's an adventurer, a proper man's man. The idea that Reed's some goofy guy is one of the worst memes that normies attached to cape characters.

You know what, normies and their out-of-context comprehension of things ruin everything. It's the internet age, pirate the ******* book, read it, and gain a proper view of them, don't go off on memes. I swear to God, if I see one more "hurdur Dracula got Moon Knight's money hurdur" picture, I'm gonna lose it...

Nah, Ben will still be the MC. Watered down obviously, maybe ending up embarassed, but still the main focus. I'm not expecting something as bad as Beta Fatt. The gal will be the main supporting character with the second most screentime and probably get "redeemed" at the end.

But since Disney needs to draw blood from a stone this isn’t the hardest stone to do it from.

If a country can be invaded in a just a week I guess Obi-Wan can travel once or twice on some cat and mouse adventure in 19 years time.

I mean lets use you as an example in just one day you had your life changed completely so imagine what can happen to a person with Jedi powers being hunted during a 19 year period…I’m guessing a-lot can happen lol

So yeah it’s just Disney trying to make money and last I checked the PT fans begged them to do this anyways.

I’m still excited for it.

I will never watch BOBF ever again though hopefully this won’t be like that.
