Don't forget folks, this is the sculpt that was approved by Karen herself. They had to take the original back and rework it slightly to remove some real life skin blemishes that Karen has (I believe one being a chicken pox mark). This was also one of the causes for extra delay.

Not too sure what to say about the overall paint application though, except that it is certainly lacking something. The sculpted hair version looks better from those photos, but I will comment further when mine appears, I am still waiting for my shipping notice

By BCS' own admission, lesson have been learned. Time to move on to #10.

The sculpted hair looks far better, as I frankly always expected it would, but unfortunately the face is just too blank and expressionless looking in my opinion. It's not so much that the likeness is bad, it's more than she looks like she's in a coma or something, there's just no life to it at all. Unfortunately.

I fear they are going to take a bath on this one.

That was my suggestion from day 1.
The sculpted hair HS needs to be used as a direct replacement, and issued in box with all subsequent shipments.
Those who purchased, should simply be sent a replacement without further notification or postage charges.

So DVD, are you happy with the figure now that you have seen the sculpted hair? No regrets?

Nah! Not really. It's an easy thing to say, but I always felt this would end up with a HS with sculpted hair, so I guess I got what I wanted.

Glad you are content, I am too. is she exactly the way I want? No, but with the sculpted hair she isn't the mess that she was with rooted hair.

I think it's just time to move on... the less said about this figure the better.

The one bright spot is this - the fact that this figure will shortly be arriving at people's homes demonstrates beyond any doubt BC's resilience and determination to keep to their word, no matter what.

But please, never make something like this again.

Got an email that my Amy has been shipped.

I used to say that I prefer rooted hair but I changed my mind after seeing those pictures. That sculpted hair head looks much better. Definitely want that alternate head but I agree that everyone that bought Amy should get it free of charge.

Well, I feel less bad about not getting a River any time soon after this, I guess. To be honest, if this is stil available down the road and maybe at some discount... I'd get it with the second head.

I never had an argument with the likeness, as much as I do with the blank, expressionless look she has, and has pretty much had since the very first reveals. Her face just needs more 'personality' to it in my opinion.

That said, I genuinely hope those that buy her are happy with what they receive.
