Seriously though. Look at the original proto, with the rooted hair and then the one we're getting with rooted hair. The paintjob is horrendous when compared.
I really hope it doesn't look like that on the sculpted. The hair isn't the big problem, it's the paint.

That is what's making the difference. I think he was meaning the sculpt in the first place.
I think it's the expression and the paint work, if both of those were improved it could look better but at the end of the day Karen Gillan approved the sculpt - as BC alluded to, if the person says yeah go ahead with it there isn't much you can do.

Well, decided to go ahead and process my order, the second head gives me the opportunity to possibly repaint the first myself. I do like all the little accessories she comes with as well.

How is this a poor figure? With the new head it looks pretty damn great.
I'm with Underworld on the point about it not being a poor figure.
I was never happy with the idea of rooted hair. I haven't seen one female figure with rooted hair where I liked the hair. I have Catwoman ordered, but I am not keen on the hair. In her case it's at least held flat with the "ears" goggles.
I saw the hair of the Black Widow go wrong, when I looked at one in store that was on display. It just sort of went all sticky outy!
The new HS is looking very nice as far I'm concerned.
On a side note, I'm watching Grimm season 2 just now. The rooted hair style and face of the Amy is a great likeness for Nicks wife in that show !

Mine was to have arrived with my dad on the 7th according to shipping.
he sent an email saying it didn't arrive.
He did send on my two new classic Who DVDs and the latest Batmobile models/mags ! Pity Amy wasn't part of the consignment.
