Unlikely figures are often weirdly exciting... and any figures of classic Doctor Who characters other than Tom are utterly unlikely.

The exclusive edition should come with a Hurndall Head limited to 250 - will really excite some, won't annoy those who fail to get it too much.

If they did that (and they both looked spot on) I would eventually buy two figures, just to have both versions on the shelf.

Also, post Amy Pond, I wonder if it might be wise of them to set their edition number runs after the initial wave of orders have come in. Have a 'high number' cut off of 250 or whatever, sure, but don't actually lock in the final number until they can better judge the response to each pre-order release. I know a lot of collectors hate that kind of thing, but it might be a wise move for a young company with limited resources.

And I'm looking forward to Hartnell more than Tom Baker as well, partly because I love Hartnell's original Doctor, and have since I was first able to see what remains of his run, and partly because I already have a Tom statue that I'm perfectly happy with, so he is the remaining Doctor that I feel the least amount of 'need' to add to my shelf at the moment. I'll still be buying him all the same though.

The figure definitely looks better with lighting that allows for some more natural light and shadow.

You are all gits... I was all set to ignore Pond but the photos and tips here have really inspired me on how I could make her look good.

But I committed to buying Sweeney Todd from a user on here already so can't attempt to buy one now for a month!!!

Unfortunately for them (and I guess lucky for you), I don't think they're likely to run out of stock that quickly.

Roll on the Tom Baker pre-order, I say.

I think she looks good there.

She does look better in that photo. It at least captures some of her personality, as opposed to most of the other photos in which her face has the lifeless quality of a forensic reconstruction based on a recovered skull.

I'm surprised there haven't been more photos to help us judge better - people are getting this figure now, right? It would be great if those who have bought it could post some new images.

this really doesn't happen often
but I must speak out on how bad I think she is
I usually don't post when i have only negative to say
and I was hoping she would turn out good
I wanted one if she did
but appart from the box and accesories
i think this ''figure'' (doll) is a failure on every level
well maybe not the boots
I think everything looks bad
maybe the sculpted hair head will look much better
let us hope

The series of flowing and blushing congratulations posted on this page almost feel like parody in light of their recent history. Admitting you've done something wrong is not as good as simply doing something right.

That's all.....

I'm just catching up on this thread, and I have to agree with this.

Might have the day off work tomorrow, if I do I'll try to take some decent pics of her, see how posable the body is. Haven't had much time to play around with her since futzing the hair.
Now that's sorted, she is looking good on the shelf. Still looking for a decent brown leather jacket (eye on a couple), and need to sort out her tights (which I laddered and are bugging the hell outta me!) :(

Does anybody know what type of body Amy has as I wanted to buy feet and spare pegs for the hands think the hot toys hand pegs female look about right but am not sure as I have an idea for trainers and 3/4 jeans combo...similar to what she is wearing in the impossible astronaut.Carefull with the hand pegs guys they do break easy. The picture above was taken by me to anyone thinking on getting Amy don't be put off with the hair out of the box it can be tamed as others have done on here...Darthgothikus loved your hair review and that bad hair day pic gave me a chuckly. The tights I wouldn't worry to much about. It could even be better to get something that looks similar. That seam at the back of them does take the whole look from them.

So is this the worst licensed figure released in the last 5 years?

I'm sure there is probably some competition from Medicom but I don't think even they could match this.
