he's cooler than Deckard.

I do like his character much more, that's for sure.
Plus Gosling is a faaaaaaaaaaaaar better actor.

i’m easily entertained. BUT those 2 movies are miles away from 2049’s quality.

I agree, he was great in this. Almost felt like a future “Drive” movie, that’s what his performance reminded me of and I like him quite a lot on that too. I wonder if repeat viewings will get dull because I know the endgame, or if it will be fun to pick up on some stuff I might have missed. I love the opening scene in this, quite the twist at the start I didn’t see coming with him being a replicant.

I still can't believe they've put Bautista in there to play a serious role.
It made that scene so much more entertaining for me.

I think he did well enough. As far as wrestlers go, I've seen worse. He's improved a lot over the course of his career for what it's worth.

I'm sorry but I fail to see the correlation. Yes, it's all subjective; but I'm not the only one that agrees that this film lacked in plenty. I'd rather have people laugh at them than being cynical of all.

I was just surprised to see him there, which added to the fun factor.

The more I think about this flick, the more I love it.

I havent made it all the way through my second viewing, just don't have 2 hours and 45 minutes of free time.

My girl had never seen the original until the week before 2049 came out..she's 35...and she liked 2049 more.

I know for me it was the amazing cast(Ford,Hauer and Hannah),Vangelis soundtrack,set pieces and the look of the dystopian future.
My girl had never seen the original until the week before 2049 came out..she's 35...and she liked 2049 more.

Yeah, I really liked 2049, but the original is still the best for me. Something more gripping (rules of the world felt more clearly defined) and dangerous in BR1 - some great villains too. 2049 was a little light in the villainy dept.
