Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

The better course would be if they calculated a release in say Jan, but publically told everyone April. That way no one gets upset if it's late. And if it comes in Jan, it looks like you got it out early.

Who is upset? We all know these delays are the norm......it will get here when it get here...

I'm not upset but I am a bit irritated with the wait times and what seems to be the new normal period of time from tease to release. 2 years sometimes. But it's not necessarily a blitzway problem so much as an industry norm. But they do seem take their time, I suppose to our benefit:gah:

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

I think it'd be cool if they built a diorama of the street in front of Dana and Louis's apartment building with ECTO-1 parked in front of it, with the figures with their packs on and the police barricades around them.

that would be awesome! :clap

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

I'm surprised by all of the stress and frustration. When I pre-ordered last year with the "January" release date I had no doubt that come July I would still be waiting. This was just based upon nothing more than general 1/6 figure history...probably better to manage one's own expectations than to expect these companies to manage them for us.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Well I can understand the frustration from a certain point of view. It is really high time the companies started using more realistic release dates. If we as the collectors know that a January date is crazy......shouldn't the producers also know?

That goes for all of them.....especially HT.....

We just enable new companies like M8 to behave just as badly.....but nothing will change until collectors change.....

And we are willing to accept it.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

I don't mind waiting...although I hope they get to me here by the end of the year at the latest. :lol Halloween would be cool for obvious reasons.

That said, these companies should still be more honest with release estimates. Maybe I'm being overly cynical but I suspect they are often deliberately misleading to generate more pre-order sales. After all if it's obvious to us many of the release estimates are too optimistic it should be obvious to the people manufacturing and selling them. :lol

I don't disagree with you here...especially when you correctly point out that this emboldens the likes of Molecule8...just thinking of it more in terms of "fool me once shame on you...fool me twice shame on me..."

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

More like...
Fool me once.....

Fool me twice......

2 years later.....

Fool me 87 times........

Yes I am looking at you HT Ripley and PCS AWIL.....

Hey, wasn't it blitzway that showed 6 inch Ghost Busters?

Man, I thought those were freaking awesome.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

I just hope we finally get to see the Ecto-1

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Very sick of waiting for any news or pics.:gah: Hurry up comic con and get these out to us fans.:impatient::impatient::impatient:

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

If you check UK Companies house you can see that Molecule8 just acquired Blitzway. Not sure whether that's good news or bad but whatever the case may be I'd imagine a further delay.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Oh great. I'm not sure what to think of that. Molecule is completely unproven at the moment.

Wow that's very interesting info. Explains why K.A Kim is now working for Molecule8. When she did the Ghostbusters.

I think it's great news. They give a very polished and good impression on the website. Details on the figures looks very good too.

I did actually ask if they would be present at SDCC, with the answer being a no. But who knows perhaps they will surprise us all with an announcement.

Exciting news......
