The Ex goes perfectly with the face.
It's already hard to sculpt a great likeness ; it's an even bigger challenge to sculpt it successfully with such a strong emotion.

That is a very good point. It is difficult enough to successfully capture human likenesses in the first place, but to do so when emotional expressions are involved is even more difficult. Gabriel Marquez has done a simply stunning job on this headsculpt as far as I'm concerned.

Awesome! This could be my favorite Maq. to date. I'm glad that I waited until now to add Boromir to my collection. Ever since seeing the Extended edition of TTT I wanted that version of Boromir. Ex ordered, can't wait to get this one.

this one is surprisingly good, after a long list of disappointments recently SSC finally got one right. Both the price and the figure. And best of all edition size is listed.

I really like this statue and have ordered it but I really hope at some point they release a Fellowship Boromir since he was in the outfit a lot more than this one. Anyway still very impressed.

Sideshow nailed the Gondorian Armor version of Boromir, but I hope that they have still reserved his fellowship attire for the Premium Format line.

People keep mentioning Boromir PF in fellowship outfit. It seems the maquette line allows Sideshow to release those complex outfits. How feasible, cost efficient is it to do a quality Boromir PF? That outfit is no joke and is no wonder they haven't done it yet.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I've stated numerous times that the Gondorian Armor Boromir is the version I wanted in PF, especially seeing Sideshow's Vlad the Impaler PF. I imagined Boromir with sculpted polystone plate armor and a cloth flag of Gondor and cloak for the mixed media aspect. I've posted this numerous times on this board as well as the comments section of Sideshow's site.

I've since changed my mind and realize that a PF Bormoir in Fellowship garb could be one of the best PFs Sideshow has done, regrdless of license. The costuming is so rich, and a fabulous EX would eb a scale representation of his black bearskin traveling cloak.

I also hope that should Sideshow do a Faramir maquette as well, a version of Faramir in his Gondorian armor would be a nice companion piece to the Boromir maquette. Yes I know that Faramir was more of a ranger....but that could be the PF.

Ignore him, he's just trolling. He makes a comment like this whenever Sideshow puts a new item up, and never posts in the LOTR section until the next one comes up

I have to say, it looks great overall and i think i'll be ordering, but it looks more like a generic Gondorian soldier than Boromir, i can't see Sean Bean in the likeness much.

Ok, got my order for the ex. Boromir in, and this one is the best piece in the line so far in my opinion. We get a great piece, that's different than what's been offered so far. I love the flag, nice touch.

So far 5/5 on this line. Nice job SS, keep it up!

Ordered the Exclusive myself...LOVE this one...looks amazing! The Arwen tease looks a bit off...but we said much the same things about Gandalf and Aragorn...and we have been pleasantly surprised. At least, the only ''offness" appears to be in 'paint' only so far...

Just ordered it in spite of the super crazy price I´ll have to pay for customs (I know well after getting Vlad) but Boromir is my fav LOTR character and Sean Bean my fav actor so... just HAD to do it

And the likeness is there, it may not be 100% accurated but it´s 95% Bean, and believe me, I know what I´m talking about, I love SB, lol
Nah, really, the likeness is amazing, specially if you keep in mind the really difficult expression the sculptor had to get. Kudos!

I´m gonna have to see if I can get the fig shipped to someone in the USA and then to me because Customs always charges a lot for shipments from Sideshow.

I am not a LOTR fan but from time-to-time I often wish I liked the movies enough to buy the collectibles. There are some very beautiful pieces out there under the LOTR license. I almost will go as far as saying, there maybe more mind blowing LOTR pieces than Marvel (which I collect), but sadly, it comes down to which you're more a fan of. I will say I have felt very compelled to get a few LOTR pieces before. This one, is another that screams "WOW!!!" factor.

I think it looks great. However I probably will not be getting it because it is too much of an off-shoot from the main storyline (which is not a bad thing, it will just lead me down a never ending road of buying LOL).
