Because it's called PASSION. He loves this world, and wants to explore it and film it and put his VISION on screen.

You don't like it? Don't see it.
But odds are, you'll be in line like everyone else...:wink1:

Did you see the part of my post where I said I liked Avatar. Trust me, I'm not one of the haters nor am I a Cameron-hater generally. Far from it, I love all his films.

I simply don't think Avatar is quite worth 4 films and all of his time.

Well.. if Avaturd 2 fails (doubt it but just saying) I think he'll be changing his tune. :lol

he's made his money, he's gone to depths where no man has gone before and he's banged linda hamilton. what more is left in life but more avatar? when i asked him what would he do if avatar 2 failed, he just reacted very badly.

I don't for one second believe that Cameron is really "passionate" about Pandora or these characters. If that were the case the movie would've had at least a modicum of depth.

He's sure passionate about the technology and the success and attention he gets from these movies, though.

Yeah. When Avatar came out I pretty much looked up or watched every interview he did and bought all the Avatar "making of" books and so forth. Sometime in the 2000's he decided he was ready to start making movies again and so he pulled out his old script treatments for both Battle Angel Alita and Avatar and read them again. He didn't have any particular passion for one over the other, he just stated that he was pleasantly surprised at how much he still enjoyed reading his Avatar story so he decided to make that one first.

If it bombed I'm sure he would have just moved to Battle Angel, more scuba diving or whatever else without skipping a beat.

He doesn't owe anyone jack ****, though it'd be cool if he made more "honest" movies again. And it sure would be nice if he wasn't such an insufferably arrogant prick.
