Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

I got pumped after seeing the Winter Soldier trailer so I popped the Avengers Blu-ray in the player the other night and gave it a spin again.

After the kids went to bed my wife and I watched the finale and since I've seen it quite a few more times than her now I decided to call out certain little details that I didn't notice until I'd seen it a few times.

One of the things was how Thor's armor materializes on his arm as he's holding his hammer in the sky just prior to the final battle so as he picked up his hammer I said, "check this out, watch Thor's arm as he lifts the hammer" and my wife said, "um okay, what the hell do you think I'd be looking at?"

And then I just realized that I instructed a woman to look at Chris Hemsworth's bare arm as if that would have never occurred to her and we had a good long laugh on the couch.

She then goes, "Imagine if I told you 'look at Black Widow's cleavage right now because something really cool is about to happen!'" :rotfl

Coincidentally enough she actually hadn't noticed his armor appearing before and ended up thinking it was cool nonetheless.

Well, they did focus on her *** during her interrogation scene with Loki so there's that:lol

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Quick question: Who are the people he's beating up in the elevator? Are those Shield Agents?

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

They're Simon Gruber's men disguised as Shield Agents.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Fabio is wrong, them are the clown gang from Batman Returns disguised as Simon Gruber's men disguised as Shield Agents!

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

SFX can take care of that.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Obviously, she's anything but fat there, but I think it's good that she didn't look rail thin. Seeing women who weigh 98 lbs. soaking wet beating up guys that are two and three times their size is such a cliché in tv and movies, it's preposterous. A guy turning into a giant green monster is more plausible.
