The suit we see on screen is mostly CG. It's easy to see. And marvel uses more CG costumes then anyone else.

They make full prac suits for everyone but that doesn't mean they shoot with them. They made most of w full ultron costume but what you see on screen is still cg

So they had a costume that didn't fit Holland because, at the time, they didn't know who was getting casted. I'm guessing the Spider-Man we saw on screen was in fact a physical suit enhanced by CGI to make it look like Holland is in the suit

Doesn't necessarily mean the suit didn't fit Holland by the time they had the cameras rolling, they probably had to make adjustments to fit him as opposed to building the suit from scratch to his measurements. This likely also limited the variety of shots they could use the practical suit for with minimal CG enhancement, since the suit wasn't a perfect fit and they didn't have time to work out kinks like wrinkles & etc.

Based on this interview with the head of ILM, it looks like all the Spidey shots in the airport were CG. However, not sure if this includes the final shot with Holland lying on the tarmac.

So...is anyone still interested in adding Crossbones to their collection after seeing the movie?

Definitely. I think he looks great and the character was still portrayed as comic book Crossbones even with what little screen time he had, though I'm definitely displaying him with how he looked in that newspaper still without the gauntlets. Think he looks way more badass there and a tad less bulky.

I had never considered it myself, but I did think how he's going to pull a Mandarin and probably shelf warm for quite some time. Not that the little bit he was in there wasn't good, it was just that, very little. I would expect he would decrease in people's priority list very fast because of it.

Gah! This always happens to me after I see one of these movies. :gah:

Purchase plans before seeing film:
-Falcon (Don't have one of him yet!)
-Black Panther? (If he is cool.)

Purchase plans after seeing film:
-Falcon
-Ant-Man
-Iron Man Mark 45
-Spiderman
-Captain America??? (I already have all the previous releases, but this one does seem to be a slight improvement over the AOU version)

On the plus side I'm probably not going to get Black Panther. I liked the character and the costume, but I don't think that Hot Toys quite nailed the texture and detail of the costume.

I have this problem too; started off just wanting Falcon, Widow and War Machine (though before hand it was always a coin toss between the IM2 and CW versions) with an assumption I would probably get the Mark 46.

After its now Falcon, Widow, Mark 46, Cap (even if I have AoU, considering collecting more Cap was even looking at the STRIKE version the other day) and Hawkeye (again even though I have the AoU version which I am happy with). War Machine I enjoyed throughout the movie but figure wise the Mk1 is the better option, Cross Bones looks great but wasn't too bothered, Vision I will wait for IW (or a good price on the AoU/CW), Ant-Man I have the first film incoming but may upgrade with Ant-Man and Wasp (liked his CW costume so if they improve on that again Marvel will secure HT a winner).

That leaves Black Panther and the currently unannounced Spider-Man, the latter I am really considering while the former was amazing in the film but I will wait for next years solo film.

So same as you :)

I wasn't planning on it anyway but if it gets significantly reduced, I would order one.

Was tempted, but after seeing the film decided to pass, but yes if he is at a good reduced price I think I would pick him up too! I do need some more villains in my collection! :)

Wasn't planning on getting Crossbones at all but would probably pick him up on the cheap if such an opportunity were to arise.

Hi,

I have brothers in law in Seoul. They will come to my country on august. Do you know the release of Captain America CW in Asia??? Sideshowtoy.com dates are official for Asia? Thanks.

Sideshow dates are all estimates. Educated guesses. And they are reflecting USA releases. Or more accurate, reflect when sideshow gets them. Which comes weeks after hot toys releases in their home market.

But it's not a promise or anything. It's just a guess.

(And there is not an Asia release date and a euro date or a USA date. There's anticipated arrivals for each retailer. That's what matters. Not where they are)
