Captain America Civil War: Figure Discussion

Sideshow dates are all estimates. Educated guesses. And they are reflecting USA releases. Or more accurate, reflect when sideshow gets them. Which comes weeks after hot toys releases in their home market.

But it's not a promise or anything. It's just a guess.

(And there is not an Asia release date and a euro date or a USA date. There's anticipated arrivals for each retailer. That's what matters. Not where they are)

Ok, thanks... Then, if my brothers in law go to Marvel Collection Enter 6 in Seoul... could they find new releases like CW Captain America??? I suppose that this shop is the first to receive new figures, isn't it??? Thanks again.

Not right now. They release at hot toys official before anywhere else and they are not out. When they release it shows up on hot toys Facebook page the same day. Secret base is the first place to get them

That's more up to what costume you prefer. The Aou one has the magnetic shield and the white on the sleeves. The CW (standard) has the swap face plates and cleaner looking suit. But they are very close overall. Personally if I was picking one, it would be the civil war version. More face display options makes it just s little better deal, IMO.
(Plus the Aou one is mostly sold out everywhere)

I might be in the market for a Captain America figure. Never been a big Marvel guy, but I do like Cap a lot. Is there a general consensus on which HT Cap is the best? Best bang for the buck? There have to be nearly a half dozen of these out there by now.

AoU Cap and CW Cap are the best figures with great size and great sculpts. CW Cap would be the cheaper option at present with AoU Cap still above retail since it sold out last year. I have STRIKE, AoU and have the BV Cap on pre order, AoU is my favourite out of the 2 I have so far.

AoU and CW Cap are close enough for the best Cap figure to date, but with the latter regular version you do get the interchangeable face plates. Since AoU Cap has an asking price well above retail as previously mentioned, I would just spring for CW Cap. This is coming from someone who's more partial to the AoU costume design, but that alone isn't worth paying above retail IMO.

EDIT: After seeing more pics and video on CW Cap BV, articulation may be an issue similar to TWS Cap stealth. Whether AoU is worth that much of a premium though is purely subjective, but it's starting to look like CW Cap isn't a total improvement over AoU unfortunately.

I'd wait for the figure to be released before making actual calls on which has better. That being said, I'm sure CW Cap will be just fine.
