Tell that to the lonely guy in front of his computer screen rewatching Brie Larson interviews, punching his pillow in rage, and counting down the days until he can send her and her SJW friends in the MCU a message and wreck their careers, by refusing to buy one (of course he would be going alone) $11.00 ticket to the movie.

That guy is very upset right now I would imagine.

I know the movie sucked and it was all about showcasing Halle Berry’s ****s but technically Catwoman was a female lead superhero movie with a black lead no less!

Hey Storm does have her famous “get hit by lightning” line of dialogue :lol

Buffy the Vampire Slayer was also a female lead hero movie.

Captain Marvel is now the first female lead hero in a movie. Deal with it.

I think the MCU hype is at an all time high, and has been since IW. And since that film teased the character at the end, that certainly upped the hype, compared to say, other solos like Ant Man and Strange - the hype is certainly real and the timing of the release I'm sure was intentional to take advantage of that.

The need for End Game info is strong. The Marvel secrecy and rather cryptic EG trailers are just gasoline on a fire. Plus Disney - and I don't mean a conspiracy - didn't stint on PR - there's CM commercials everywhere. Plus MCU glow!

Anyway overall - far as I can tell - the movie's roughly 50/50 pro/con. Roughly, 'coz I don't know there's any online review system that can be trusted. Dunno how that translates to final numbers. Media never seems to bother with disc/streaming sales later, which can be hugely profitable.

I’m just starting trouble because well that’s what I like to do lol

Marvel did say it’s the first female lead superhero IN THE MCU NOT FIRST EVER!

Ah. Your statement - a very true statement I might add - made me think you didn't know he was joking.

Makes sense. I added the GIF for some levity to help convey I was being humorous, so that way it wasn’t taken too seriously being that it is indeed a true statement. :lol

Also a true statement.

Some company called DC currently has Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman but they're flailing about aimlessly with them. Hopefully plans are afoot to bring them home to Marvel. :monkey3

Hopefully they'll also get DC's biggest superhero(ine) of all, the one who is about to star in the surefire hit, "Birds of Prey or: How We Learned to Stop Worrying and Bet Everything on the Scantily Clad Margot Robbie". Not to get too far off track, but am I the only one thinking Harley Quinn is going to be the DC version of JLaw's Mystique? Or has that already happened?

Hah, I deleted that post just now after it appeared to get total silence. :lol

Probably a little too early to call on Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn. We've only seen her in the role once afterall. I assume you mean she could be like Jlaw's Mystique in the way that Mystique got more prominence than anyone really wanted and she sort of wore out her welcome....

I wasn't thinking that so much as they turned Mystique into one of the good guys due to Jlaw's popularity. I'm sensing that they're doing the same thing with HQ.

Oh yeah. Quite possibly then. I always thought it was a bit stupid to introduce these supposed villains as anti-heroes right from the start.

The ********s :lol

BTW, given that after the light speed engine exploded Carol had blue blood coming out of her nose, are we to assume that (as in the comics) her DNA mixed with that of Mar-Vell, whose dead body was also engulfed in the explosion?
