Damn, one billion. That's more than the Cap America movies. Female Cap is now THE new Captain and the one and only female hero in film history. In fact, she's now also way better than Indiana Jones. I hope Thanos can stop her tho, before it's too late for us males.

Now do I think Brie hates white men and didn’t want white men to watch her movie, HELL NO!

Now do I think Brie will be celebrating that 1B box office with some BBC, HELL YEAH!

It isn’t a thong in most iterations. I’m not sure I can even count on one hand how many times it’s actually been a thong. Even if they slapped granny panties on her, it would still look better than her ****** jumpsuit. I’ve hated the design since it debuted years ago.

You're certainly entitled to that opinion, but I think it's safe to say Marvel wasn't looking to appeal to your particular demographic when they green lit the Jamie McKelvie suit design back in 2012. I mean seriously, having one or two female comic book characters around that aren't overly sexualized shouldn't be too much for us to bear.

When this movie hits 1 Billion the anger of those white males who attack this movie and the actress constantly will be so strong you will be able to taste it! Hopefully Captain Marvel prominent on the endgame movie poster.

It could. It would be great for DC and horrible for the Marvel fanboys that bash every DC movie on social media before it even comes out. How can you bash a movie you have never seen? If Shazam is a huge hit coming after Aquaman being a huge hit the Marvel fanboys will be forced to stop the ##$ talking under every DC trailer. I predict a lot of hurt Marvel fanboys hurt feelings.

There’s a specific desire out there to desexualize all female characters though. Which isn’t just turning off men, but also many women, straight, bisexual, lesbian or otherwise—you know, because we are so accepting of everyone’s sexuality these days. The irony in that statement.

It looks like it will be fun, but relatively speaking I think it'll have more competition in theatres on opening weekend than CM did. Us will still be around, plus I hear Pet Sematary is getting strong reviews. That might keep it from reaching CM level numbers, plus it can't bank on the MCU tie-in factor.

Just curious: Has Shazam been an on-going comic? I know it goes way back, but I'm asking if it has been published on a continuous basis, or has it been recently resurrected to coincide with the movie release? Maybe it's just my ignorance of the character, but I have the impression that he's kind of an outlier as a DC property. Has he ever been in the Justice League? I've never associated him with Superman, Batman, WW, etc..
