Christian Bale freaking out on the DP on set of Terminator Salvation!

I love Bale and still do, but my main problem is that Bale couldn't let it go after the guy apoligized multiple times. It just went on way too long, you think he is going to be okay when he is asking nicely for Bruce to PLEASE get him all set up to do the scene, but no, he goes off again! I understand he had a bad day, but the DP was embarassed enough after 2:00 of yelling. In any case, still love you CB!

How do you know he didn't? Hmmm? And TBH, he should apologize only for the extreme nature of his outburst. It doesn't change the fact that the DP's behavior was still disrespectful and incompetent (remember, Bale had already spoken to him about doing just the same thing).

I never said he didnt apologize. I just said he should. But by him apologizing he recognizing he was wrong. Just becasue some else is disrespectful, as you put it, doesn't make it right for you to also be. Its all im saying... IMO he is wrong for doing what he did, but im not saying that I dont understand his behavior or wouldnt do it myself either...

The really ^^^^ed up thing about all this is that this recording was taken around the same time when bale allegedly freaked out on his family.Wasn't like it was taken recently,that was a ^^^^ing while ago.Goes to show how he was feeling at that time which is totally errelavent to how he's feeling now. Well, that's the problem isn't it? Again, it's not like it was the first time Bale had discussed the same exact issue with the DP. If Bale had already spoken with the DP about the situation and the DP didn't care enough about that discussion to actually check himself from doing it again, you think blowing in his ear and a pat on the ass would've worked better?! Most likely after Bale's excessive rant, he didn't do it again. Some people need to be treated the same disrespectful way they treat others in order for it to actually sink in.

I have to disagree. Firstly, it's not Bale's job to demoralize the DP, if anything it is the Director's. Secondly, I have worked on films before, and let me tell you, what the DP did may have been unprofessional, but Bale's use of expletives and threats of violence is not how the DP should learn his lesson. This isn't like Maury where they sent troubled kids to prison to be yelled at so they learn they're lesson. The DP is a professional who made some mistakes, and should have been reprimanded, but not by Bale and not in this severe fashion. I honestly feel bad for Bale and the DP. Bale, because I honestly think he was just having a bad day, and the DP, for being embarassed and demoralized.
