How's it ironic? There are tons of ass holes in the world, just most of them aren't significant enough to get any press time for it. I worked in the oil fields for 7 years and what Bale did was nothing, i'm sure construction or the military aren't any different. ^^^^ even that Simon guy on Idol and Donald Trump go off on people and talk some mad ^^^^. But it's a new age and the delicate little flowers make all the rules now.

No one is saying it's okay because he's a star. Just that he's human...we all make mistakes, lose our temper, etc... For all we know he apologized and everything is cool between him and the other guy. We don't know the whole story and what happened after and it's just wrong to judge someone based on what a gossip source like tmz tells us.
