As someone who's very much into space travel and SPAAAAAACE in general this trailer really moved me. It did exactly what it needed to do, peak my curiosity but not give anything away. I already want to see this.

So do these guys build a rocket in their backyard? Is that what I'm supposed to believe? It looks like the rocket-shuttle took off from the middle of a corn field.

Ha! I think it's safe to assume that somewhere just over the horizon is a launch pad

although it does remind me of the end of T3

unless it is on a farm and the farmer is growing rocket

ahhahahahah!!!! :rotfl

A comment regarding the teaser I saw on one forum:
""This was the best Star Trek movie I've seen all year!" :)

I like the whole feeling of space age exploration this teaser seems to imply. People are not saying that perhaps Interstellar could be the spiritual succesor of Carl Sagan's "Contact" and not just becouse both films star Mr. Shirtless. I certainly wouldn't mind if the movie would embrace that vibe of wonder. We'll see.

I remember sitting in theaters just looking around to see if anyone else thought that Universal Studios ride Jodie Foster was on was dumb like I did.

I am wasn't talking about the quality of "Contact" so much as just the general feeling of scientific exploration and pushing for the unknown in the spirit of Sagan. A story that would be about discovering the mysteries of cosmos, rather than using mcguffin tech magick as a plot device to fight aliens. Basically something that Nasa could us a recruitment tool, like paleonthology colleges used Jurrasic Park back in the 90's ;) We don't get enough of those.

Trailer to debut with Godzilla. :banana

I'm really looking forward to this. The original trailer really grabbed me and has me interested in what this movie will have for us.
