I like the sound of this concept and INCEPTION is my favorite Nolan film (edging MOMENTO), so I'm in.

I hope this isn't an "Inception" threepeat. A few faces here and there from previous films isn't going to hurt but if it's all the same talent in the starring roles, I would find that a bit lazy and redundant.

Nolan did only use Guy Pearce, Hugh Jackman, and Leonardo DiCaprio once. "Insomnia" is a weird movie because there were no familiar faces in it and he hasn't used anyone from that film since. I would hope this stars someone new and unique and familiar faces only fill supporting roles/cameos. Since Christopher Nolan didn't write this script and it was originally going to be directed by Speilberg, I wonder if there is a role for Michael Caine in it. I am sure he will be in it whether there is or not if not just for a cameo. As for other actors that might make an appearance, my money is on Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I wouldn't mind Cillian Murphy starring. His roles in Nolan's films have been pretty minimal and I'd love to see more of him.

He was good in it, I thought Chris Evans was better. Prolly his best performance. And if the characters listened to him, they would not have had a problem. :lol

:goodpost: I would love to see Cillian in the lead role, I can't remember but i heard a quote quite awhile back(I think before or shortly after Inception) where Nolan said he was the best actor of his generation, or was that Di caprio he was talking about:lol

Hopefully Tom Hardy will have a part aswell.

Cillian Murphy is brilliant in Sunshine

:exactly: :clap
One of my favourite Cillian performances, only bettered by his performance in '28 days later' IMO

Been looking forward to hear what the next Nolan film would be. A Nolan space film? That sounds great to me!

Pass. . . .

More news

News regarding Steven Spielberg’s Robopocalypse wasn’t the only “mega director” story to hit last night, as we also learned that Christopher Nolan is in talks to direct the sci-fi film Interstellar as his next project. There’s a link between the two filmmakers, as Nolan’s brother Jonathan Nolan originally wrote the Interstellar script years ago for Spielberg to direct. Details on the film are understandably under wraps, but the story is inspired by the work of physicist Kip Thorne and involves a group of explorers traveling through a wormhole, where they encounter time travel and alternate dimensions.

Now a few more details have surfaced regarding Interstellar, chief of which is that Christopher Nolan will be writing the script himself in order to incorporate an original idea of his own. Hit the jump for more details.

Buried in a report on Deadline is the news that Chris Nolan is penning a script that merges an original idea of his with the previous script that Jonathan Nolan wrote. This isn’t exactly a shock, as the brothers have collaborated on the scripts for The Prestige, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises. As I understand it, they normally take separate passes on the script instead of writing side by side, so the idea of Christopher taking Jonathan’s draft and rewriting it makes sense.

The report also has a more revealing logline for the film, noting that the film “will depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest borders of our scientific understanding.” The deal is being set up at Paramount with Chris Nolan, Emma Thomas, and Lynda Obst producing, but Nolan’s longtime studio Warner Bros. will also be in the fold as a co-production partner with Paramount. Thorne will remain onboard as a technical consultant.

Not really.

Why would I? Unless Nolan throws in Xenomorphs and ****.

It could be another type of life form that's in it...maybe the next big alien creature franchise...hey it worked for Alien and Predator...maybe it will be a trilogy or even a "Dune" type of picture...who knows...It's Nolan so expect some good surprises
