We don't know if a Toynami approved factory was used?...
This piece was made by a different factory and NOT Toynami.

Dealers make up the description now?

You defended this piece all the way. Not one person is 100% happy with their Statue, most not even 50%, yet your defence continues.
Astounding!

Mine isn't perfect the paint is just as bad as the rest but trying to drum up conspiracy theories about it is pretty odd.
That quote only proves it wasn't Toynami but doesn't mean it couldn't be someone they recommended. Most likely that was stated after these came out as turds as to not reflect badly on Toynami itself or cover their ass.

^ Agreed, totally.

No conspiracy, just facts. Paul threw the Toynami name around in direct association with THIS product.
Now comes the moment I finally agree with darb :horror
Toynami probably did tell Chronicle to make sure their name wasn't connected to this mess.

You spent weeks saying 'let's wait for better pictures before criticising' what's your reasoning now? Maybe this and maybe that. Then accuse me of touting my opinion as fact. I only react and comment to facts.

Better pics show up the crappy paint application. Still meh...

What am I not seeing guys - looks fine to me :dunno

Maybe this is ME experiencing the reverse of "the Predator effect" - I love all the Terminator movies (and the TV series), but would not know what part of the sculpt or paint were wrong unless someone pointed them out to me.

So wassup with it?

It depends on what you were expecting. To begin with, it doesn't look like the proto or the supposed early production sample as far as finish. People love bright shiny car show endos. This is too dark and some of the paintwork is sloppy. If you like a nice grizzled battlefield endo, it's fine. That's the way I'm looking at it and why I decided to keep mine and take the $200 credit. Makes it much more palatable.

From the statue forum, Paul CC:

I get that people are disappointed and we only asked people to destroy them that are overseas to avoid high shipping costs coming back to the states.

We offered a full refund or partial credit for new product, but that doesn't seem to be enough for some people. You have to make a spectacle of burning our product on a grill and then say it's all in good fun and a tribute to Terminator.

I've had one foot out the door on the forums for some time, but I am now finished.

Paul

The FB message assuming was from Heather. When I dealt with her, she was very accommodating and professional. My refund was prompt. I was worried about this with all the negativity Paul is done. Hope this is not true.

Epic! Reading on it was great to see that CC thought it was funny too. They probably needed that.

Also, it was sweet that the eyes were still glowing while the fire engulfed the whole figure.
CC thought it was funny?

Maybe I misunderstood this:

Paul

Sounds like Paul didn't find it funny.
