Love it. This piece is badass.

:yess::yess::yess:

Thanks! The ESB Luke helmet has the one that came from EFx, the Stormy and Legend Vader helmets were paper towel holders from Walmart, $12.00, I think. I used the pole that came with the Vader helmet though and screwed it into the base of the paper towel holder.

Thanks man, I'll try it out.

Moving the empty box reminded me of how awesome (and heavy) the box is...I would like to display it too. I love you CM Vader. :love

With a bob haircut, a helmet that sits too high, and a puny arm...

Actually, this is Vader...

I could not agree more. I was looking forward to the eventual SS version, but after that disappointing maul, I think my wait will continue...

Unfortunately there is no perfect vader...as much as I love the attakus, and it was my fave for a looong time, the face is completely wrong. The gentle giants, all of them have the same inaccurate head.
Kotos as much as I love them, the newest 1/10 is by far the most accurate among them...well can't really complain as those are just about perfect for me, though the Sith version is pretty off....
Don't get me started on all things ss...the best are the props...

sure the cm arm is a little gimpy in pictures and the stance is not everyones favorite and yes the chest armour is based on screen used bob Anderson armour ...but personally I love the cm, aside from the lifesize prop helmets, it's my centerpiece...and I have almost every figures vader ever made ...except the latest diorama and anything bronze or the giant pewter figure...it's very impressive, I don't care that the helmet seems a little high, that's difficult to replicate in a lot of actual costumes considering the helmet is actually very very accurate...

As far as mixed media statues are concerned the cinemaquette takes the cake and if there's another company out there who can do better, please do as I m always looking for a better vader...
In the meantime I like this piece best and I only hope that ss can outdo this with the legendary statue...

good points raised. personally the only thing which draws my attention to this is its size and the unmasked head. the rest is just something i will have to pass on. to the point that i had to forego a good deal for this. but that's me, cheers to those who have this.

For the price, perfection should be a given especially with the face/mask/helmet. Inexcusable really. That being said, as a display piece it's outstanding ;)

I still think Medi's Mini Me is the best proportionally though

attakus vader i is perfect in my view, they nailed the pose and look. I dont like the pose of all the other vaders including the ss pf. The CM vader is probably my least favorite pose, who on earth thought of that. They should just made him with a normal standing pose with the light saber down..or even without the lightsaber.

The reason he looks like its a bob is that the whole helmet is positioned higher like in the empire strikes back echo base invasion...when it is seated higher, prowse can turn his head better because his neck is not seated too far below his shoulder line...

The mythos vader helmet is also amazingly accurate...
And the ss bust is pretty inaccurate considering it is life size. But I attribute it to a possible unbalanced diet of scanning (or remolding) and sculpting...

No offence dude, but you can justify it all you want; I personally don't see Vader in this piece...ESPECIALLY for the horrendous price, I would expect something far more accurate.

The helmet sits WAY too high - even above his eyes you can see it. Plus the length of the back looks too short, hence the bob haircut. Even your photo above with the Mythos version next to it, highlights how short the back is.

His shoulders sit too low and make him look like a skinny dork is wearing the suit.

He's too puny overall and does not convey the strength of Vader. Look at the photo I posted of Vader and you can see there is a huge, solid, body builder under there.

And the stance is a joke - again, it doesn't convey strength, it conveys someone who is uncoordinated, who is trying to look tuff, and be powerful.

But hey, that's just me.

Seriously? Look at the back of the helmet, how high it sits. It's too short.

Sorry man, the more I look at your comparison photos, the more I think you've been smoking some cones.

If you think the CM pic below is the same as the shot from the film, your eyes must be painted on...

Have you seen it in person? Pics don't convey the true look of the CM Vader...I look at some of these pics and can see how someone would think that but in person, it's a different story. He does not look puny in person at all and to be honest, going off the full body pic above from the movie and comparing a few pages back, the CM Vader appears larger to me. The stance does not appear odd in person (not to me and I was worried it would because in some pics it does look odd) and the helmet does not look that off...it does sit high and could be a bit longer in back and I could see that bothering some people and it does me in pics but in person.....in person none of those things are issues for me and I had them all on my mind before I opened the box.

I have come to appreciate the stance; on one hand (literally) it is similar to one of his iconic moments and on the other hand he has his saber. The leg placement does not bother me at all when seen in person and like I said that was the biggest issue I had before I opened the box.

But everyone is different. I do not expect an exact replica of millimeter by millimeter of what is seen on screen though so maybe my ignorance is bliss. Otherwise, especially with Vader, a collector would not have a large collection, if one at all.

Not trying to change anyone's mind as with all CM's there seems to be love or hate and no middle ground and if I did not love it I would have sent it back.

This is just my opinion, doesn't make it right or wrong. I've spent a stupid amounts of money on collectibles that I like and others don't. If this Vader met my expectations I'd be all over it.

At the end of the day, as long as the buyer is happy with what they've purchased... that's all that matters.

I've not seen it in real life, so I can't give an educated comment on the stance, but in the photos it looks off. However, I could probably live with the stance if they had have got the helmet right.

Here's my issues, highlighted with red dots.

Helmet sits too high with a clearly visible short back lip.
Because of the above, the back "clamp" things are visible.
Even on my SSC Diplomatic Mission the eyes are painted to have the correct "red" tint.
The face looks likes it has been pulled (stretched) forward as seen on the "cheeks" and again, highlighted below (and yes, I know the photo is on a different angle to the film shot, but the cheek shape is clearly different).

Saying all that... the finish (paint apps, etc) look amazing.

I hear ya. But that is the ANH Helmet and the ESB one that this is based off of does have a little more separation depending on the frame shot. It does sit higher than it should on the head though and creates that separation, no doubt and it isn't 100% accurate.
