Trim the beard, break his nose, and it'd be perfect. Too bad this one's out of my range.
looks like they broke the nose. it has the curve. incredible sculpt. how'd they get it so wrong w/ Aragorn!

This is well worth the money, it is knockout nuts, this and the Alien Queen are probably the definitive CM collectibles IMO. Gruson may have something to say about that as he's the go to guru for me, but yes, with a little facial hair correction this is basically a Museum piece like no other.

Based on the reaction I'm hearing from those who've seen it up close... yes. Collectors pay 750 for a Toys McCoy Indy. To have one at 1:3 scale with this detail for 1500 is well worth it for passionate ROTLA freaks.. of course CM should correct the beard thing.

It appears to be worth it if they'll just let Indy shave a little. :lol

Ah come on! Where's the dedication? :lol

I'm thinking that with the movie offically announced, and a release date for May next year, you that Lucas is gonna do what he does best and cash in on the hoopla. After seeing what Sideshow did for Star Wars I'm sure that they might get a Indy license. Maybe we'll see something soon, but I doubt it.

I'm gonna go off an make a prediction.... Indiana Jones Premium Format previewed for the first time at Toy Fair 2008.

Man o man....the temptation to make this my first Cinemaquette is so high.....

:crying :crying :crying :crying

Even with Miracle Gro that money tree won't give.....

If my prayers are answered we'll get an Indy announcement similar to the Star Wars announcement at SDCC and a PF coming soon!

for the price difference i would pass on the cinemaquette one and get the SS one....if the paint ap was up-to-par.

The temptation for a Cinemaquette will always be there for me. The price seems a little excessive for a statue though. I could imagine the max cost for a Cinemaquette at $1000 or below. But seeing the Aragorn top out at $1500 mark for a poor rendering at that price makes the decisions pretty easy.

It seems like it's going to be a crapshoot with these collectibles. I love how Jack Sparrow is looking and I agree with the boards that Indy needs a shave and that there is still something off (maybe the eyes are a little too light). Both will be great statues to add to any collection but that price point is enough for a determinant for me to back off on a purchase.

I think the price on the Alien CM is fair. If Sideshow can charge $900.00 for a 1/4 scale Alien, I would have no problem paying $1500.00 for a 1/3 scale signed by Giger.

the thing that still worries me about the CMs ( humans anyway) is the longevity of the silicone/rubber used. this was a major issue many were wondering about when these 1st came out and i've yet to here any definitive info about it. i asked at Statue Forum but was told to email CM, and they never replied. i'd REALLY hate to have my $1500 statue turn to goo or crack in about 5-7 years.
