:dunno It might be the paint cracking, it has it all over it. From the bottom to the top and you can feel them. :gah::gah:

Any ideas of what could have caused it? It was insured but I highly doubt USPS will cover it, since it does not look like shipping damage. Bordie says it was mint when he shipped it. The only problem I saw was the foam did not have tape around it and maybe statue was rocking back & forth and caused it?? Other than that it was packed well with all pieces covered.

Did you get close up pics of this piece before buying it?

I have no idea if rocking in foam during shipment could cause the tremor of paint ripples like that :monkey1

Maybe it was from the heat????

To be honest, don't know who the bordie is (not that it matters) but I don't think this is something that occurred in transit. It might have. I couldn't say for sure, but my feeling is this might have just gotten overlooked. No one's fault but the factory's.

He had pictures of it in his collection thread and it looked to be mint. The thing is that it's real hard for the camera to pick up the cracks/scratches.

I was also thinking that temperature might have caused this to happen, can't see something like this being overlooked.

If that's the case, then I'd bet on the heat. It's difficult because I didn't see the before and after, but after hearing that, I'd say it was caused during shipping. I'd file a claim. It's not your fault. And not the seller's fault (unless it was Skiman and in that case, I'd hang him out to try. j/k :lol.) But I don't know if the shipping company will take the fall for it either. Sorry to hear about the luck.

I told you that Iron Man was MINTY MINT with pou pouree freshness whenever it was in my collection!!!!! :tap NO REFUNDS!!!!!!

If you are not a big dawg, then you aren't big enough, those are the rules. Kill or be killed, sink or swim, GOOD GOD MARVEL HULKNESS or Biffy! It's pretty simple. That's how Ski does it, that's how America does it, and it's worked out pretty well so far.

Take it to the judge, you have been measure and found wanting, write that down, pfft and :lol :lol :lol cuz Ski SAID SO!!! :lecture

I love it because everytime I read these posts they don't really make any sense but because I've been around it for so long, it actually makes sense.... :rotfl. It's like I can understand TWO languages, English and now, Skiish. (I wonder if I should put that on my resume....)

Where was it shipped & where is your location?
Because I reside in Calgary, Canada & it can get pretty cold up here & some (if not most) of the SS products I procure is from the US, mostly the warmer areas & this hasn't occured to any of my items.

I am located in California and it was shipped from Idaho.

I am a lil frustrated he wants to offer me only 110 refund when he is only losing 45 and I will be out 250. His first offer was 40  He paid 295 and I paid 360 for it. I am so stupid for sending the payment as a gift, screwed myself.

I wonder you can sell it again for $200 that will make your lost $50.
I sold a broken statue on eBay in the past (of course i stated on the auction that the statue was broken) and got some $ out of it.
Some people with good repair skill might be interested.
