Of course SEC fans want an all SEC game for their egos. No more than Big 12 fans wanting a team in for their egos.

No, I want to see OSU in there because I think that gives fans the best game. We've seen the sedative that is LSU and Alabama which I'm not sure America should have to be subjected to again. I want to see LSU and OSU because I want to see if LSU has enough offense to win that game along with does OSU have enough D to hang in there. If LSU and Alabama had offensives then it might not be so bad. Now, I would still have an issue that they didn't play in their conference title game.

But it makes sense to put in a team who couldn't even make it to conference championship.

I guess all I can hope for now is if the world ends in 2012 we don't wait for dec just get it over right when 2012 starts so we don't have to see that boring game again.

I think you will get a "boring" game either way. LSU will blow out OSU but you will get your high scoring affair. LSU vs AL will more than likely be more of the same as before, so pick your poison. Personally, I want a LSU vs OSU matchup. AL has had its shot and I don't believe they deserve a second chance even though I do think they are the true 2nd best team in the land.

Well we have seen one and know what it was the other is a game where we don't know what will happen.

How many points has LSU put on its oppents this year? No offense....you may need to recheck your stats.

They might put up points after they break teams will but there offense is pretty bad. Remember ZERO first down in first half a game?

I would be willing to wager LSU takes that game...any sum you wish. That's how confident I feel OSU doesn't have what it takes to play LSU.

Your logic makes no sense. It may be a matter of getting things going and figuring things out. It doesn't matter when the points go up just what the points are at the end of the game.

Alabama is three missed FGs away from being number one so that storyline alone is why I would be interested in a rematch. I hate both teams but think the matchup is more akin to Ali/Frasier as opposed to Ali/challenger. We've seen the arguement of top offense vs. LSU when Oregon tried.

I've seen and they scored several against bad teams or quite a bit after they broke them as mfoga said. I have no problems standing by what I said that I don't think their offense is all that impressive.

My point makes plenty of sense. Junk point are that junk. I didn't see an LSU offense that looked all that much better in second half of game but a Georgia team who had started to just give up.

Well, they had their chance and they should have made those FG. Nah, Ali/Frazier would not be a boring ass match up. :lol Well, I'd rather see that then sedative wars II.

Edit: I'm not anti SEC before anyone jumps on that. I'm excited about Mizzou joining the SEC and one of my best friends is a Vols fan. I just want to be entertained and much of what I've seen come out of the SEC has been anything but.

Who has Alabama beaten to be considered such a monster that should be playing for it all? **** State? Other than Pig and Tiger the rest of the SEC sucks.

Bama had their chance and lost. Didn't even with their division let alone conference. If you can't do that you should not be playing for the MNC.

No one else wants to see them play for it either unless you are SEC fan or on the ESPN payroll.

Which teams should play for the BCS national championship?

22% LSU vs. Alabama
78% LSU vs. Oklahoma State

The same could be said about any other game OSU v OK anyone? Do you think OSU will fair any better. They lost to Iowa state for Pete's sake! How laughable is that? OSU hasn't impressed me this year and LSU has. I hope OSU does get a chance. I really do but I don't think it will be much of a game. OSU is no where near the league of LSU on the field.

I'm pretty sure that what they said about OU in 2000 with FSU, I don't like OSU but we already saw Bama LSU and it was boring I say give OSU a shot.

:exactly:

And I just can't overlook OSU losing to a 6-6 team. That's a glaring negative for them.

Oh I agree give OSU a shot. I just think it will be a blowout just like the last 5 years or so. :) my only point is that if you want to pick someone who has a shot against LSU that would be AL. I personally want a LSU vs OSU game. Something about playing for a national title without even winning your own conference doesn't sit well with me.

That Iowa St game was played with bad circumstances around the school. There are reports that the players were just down after learning the news and let's be realistic these are college kids and just found out coaches from another sport have died in a plane crash. I am sure you will say that it shouldn't matter it wasn't a football coach though.
