For those wondering about the BCS rankings that will come out on Oct. 19th. Here's an early look at a top ten based on computer calculations through last week that will be 1 of the 6 computations that go into the BCS.

1. Alabama
2. Utah
3. LSU
4. Boise State
5. Oklahoma
6. USC
7. Vanderbilt
8. UGA
9. Penn State
10. Virginia Tech

LOL.....You figured this out? I ain't buying it.

Woops on the Rose game.

Les has a crystal trophy too. Bob is good, no doubt, but even West Virginia's sub coach took him and his team behind the shed.

This OU is awesome, but so was their proclaimed 2003 greatest college team ever that got a beat down from Kansas State in the B12 championship game.

Like I said earlier...there is a problem with preparation lately with bowl games. I admit that. There's no excuse for losing to Boise or WV. Those were hard to take...particularly the Boise game. But Bob is a great coach and will get that straightened out.

As far as 2003, Jason White had a broken hand and gimpy ankle and still played in the NC game. He was nowhere near the same player he was during the regular season. And yet they still only lost to LSU what? 21-17? 21-14? in the Louisiana Dome. If Jason's healthy, OU has their 8th NC, he was phenomenal that year. But hey, those are the breaks of the game.

The other NC game...the game of which we do not speak....USC was simply a better team. That and 5 turnovers you have a blowout.

So only the last 2 Bowl games were bad losses IMO.

See ya in Stoolwater! and get well soon Demarcus Granger!

Wait, through last week? Or were these updated after the weekend? If so, #2, #4, #7, and UGA at #8 show that computers can be as retarded as people. :lol

Yep, as of Sept. 28th.

I didn't figure anything out. The computers did. It's the Sagarin ELO numbers which are 1/6th of the computational data that goes into the BCS calculations. Again, it's not the BCS rankings, it's 1/6th of the data the BCS will derive it's rankings from. They don't come out until Oct. 19th so it's a mute point right. Just showing how the computers rank them based on wins and strength of schedule thus far.

OH OK got ya, so then, that ranking on it's own is basically meaningless.

OU didn't proclaim anything....the media did. Go figure...they crowned another team "greatest college team ever"! That never gets old....

Beat Baylor!

Great catch on the 3 day old post that was past over!!!

looks like USF might be choking tonight......fun game to watch.

Yea, I think they were looking ahead, Pitt isn't that good.

I'm looking forward to watching BYU tomorrow night. I've not had the chance to watch anything but highlights of them. They seem to be the one legit bowl buster this year.

BYU is interesting, they get by a horrible Washington thanks to a ref and then destroy UCLA.

Today's the day Josh...

1) Mizzou continues their losing streak in Lincoln

2) Chase Daniel learns that the blackshirts are back

3) Chances of Missouri ever winning a national title are crushed

I'm chugging my red kool-aid today, GBR!!!!!

Weird that ESPN Gameday opted to be in Nashville for the Auburn/Vanderbilt game instead of in Lincoln or at Wisconsin.
