A few interesting notes from the preview of the 19ths BCS rankings as of this week...

If the BCS computer ranking was released today here is how they'd be ranked....

1. Alabama
2. Missouri
2. Vanderbilt
4. Utah
5. Oklahoma
5. Texas

Wrong.....This is the unofficial ranking

1. Oklahoma .9399
2. Alabama .9277
3. Missouri .9088
4. Texas .8381
5. LSU .7618
6. Penn St. .7581
7. USC .6208
8. Utah .6106
9. Georgia .5940
10. Vanderbilt .585

yeah it's early. alabama might not be the best team in the country but based on their current resume I'd agree with that right now as a fan or not but it's only half-way through the season and there are a lot of games to play and once all teams have played their big games it will look different. Alabama is #4 in the country with # of starting freshman and I think that reared it's head with the penalties, etc. this past weekend and will bite them at some point over the season. I think OK is the best team but they haven't played a top 25 team yet but they will and they'll be at the top and the the other teams who haven't gotten to the meat of their schedule will have their chance too. It is crazy to see some of those teams on their though.

Yes they have...they beat the then #23 ranked TCU. Of course since then TCU has fallen out of the polls.

Actually you're wrong. You've posted espn's mock version of the numbers. You can read the real ones right below it.

Apparently you've misread my post. I posted the BCS COMPUTER rankings. You quoted me with a mock BCS standing that includes the human polls. In all but one of the computer rankings Alabama is number one.

I did....Am I seeing things? Seeing as there are no BCS computer rankings yet...they would have to be mock versions. You can't go by just the computer aspect of the rankings. That wouldn't be a BCS ranking.

That's not true. I live probably a few miles from you and Oklahoma is one of my favorite teams. I'd take them over any SEC school.

I wasn't referring to you, just the mindset of this part of the country in general. I guarantee you there are folks around here who think Kentucky is a better team than Missouri or Texas, for example.

Again, that's why I posted BCS "COMPUTER rankings"...

Here all of the computers and how they look today. No mock ups.

:lol Apparently you aren't seeing things because if you were you'd see the words "computer rankings" right behind the letters BCS.

Listen, BCS uses Computer rankings as well as Human polls...right? So, If you just use the computer aspect of the BCS system....it's no longer a BCS ranking...is it? So you are just posting meaningless computer Rankings. NOT BCS rankings. Those computer rankings you posted mean little separate from the BCS system.
My posting is what the BCS rankings would look like if they were released today. Comprende?

Not sure your point considering the only thing I've ever stated was that these were "computer rankings." You can show me where I'm arguing the merits of what makes the BCS if you'd like. A BCS computer ranking is exactly that, please quote me where I've said it was anything more or less.

YOu keep saying BCS. Again it's not BCS rankings...just computer rankings.

Look, I'm not sure why you have a hard time reading the word "computer" behind BCS. Fact of the matter is those are the BCS COMPUTER RANKINGS some how that equates to BCS STANDINGS to you? The BCS uses computer rankings and human polls to come up with the BCS standings, I posted the BCS COMPUTER RANKINGS, because they are in FACT the BCS COMPUTER RANKINGS and somehow they don't exist because it has the word BCS in front of it?

I'm saying you made it seem like those rankings you posted were what the BCS would look like if the rankings were released today. Hence, you putting BCS in your statement. The rankings you posted were simply computer only....not BCS rankings which uses human polls as well.

LOL.....I don't have a hard time reading computer. I think you have a hard time understanding the meaning BCS. What good are the computer rankings alone? They mean nothing.....
