Weird that ESPN Gameday opted to be in Nashville for the Auburn/Vanderbilt game instead of in Lincoln or at Wisconsin.

yeah i questioned that. i would have liked to see them in lincoln but then it would probably jinx nebraska and i want to see them win.

but they are picking up the SEC(or part of it) contract next year so.......

Why? Only talk smack if your team wins?

The wheels on the wagon go round and round. . .

I don't feel I need to talk. I think MU is really good and should handle Neb. Why do I have to talk if I feel my team is better.

Yeah, I live in Missouri and have been a fan since I was a freaking kid. There are bandwagon fans but I ain't one of them.

Today's the day Josh...

1) Mizzou continues their losing streak in Lincoln

2) Chase Daniel learns that the blackshirts are back

3) Chances of Missouri ever winning a national title are crushed

I'm chugging my red kool-aid today, GBR!!!!!

Yea but . .

We shall see. I'll save my talking for post game.

Smack talk only works BEFORE the contest is finished. It's easy to talk your side one once a victor has been decided. It's the lead up talk that is fun.

Anywho, see them Mizzery Kittens next week.

Damn the BCS! WE NEED A LEGIT PLAY OFF SYSTEM!

I agree. However, the NCAA only cares about one thing and thats the $$ so its probably never gonna happen

Yeah, thats all true. I just prefer unless I'm bull^^^^ting with friends to let my team do the talking.

Should be a good game. Probably a lot closer than this weeks game but in the end if MU wins by one thats fine by me.

I never in a million years thought I'd ever say this but Notre Dame has a pretty tough task ahead this week at North Carolina. Butch Davis has turned that program around in a hurry. They play tough and smart. And we're not nearly back yet (literally all of our best players are Sophomores and true Freshman).

:lol That may be the most retarded one I've seen yet.

The sky would be falling if that was the case.

alabama should be #1 but after this weekend we'll see if OU,LSU or Texas should be 123.

I think last weekend showed that Oklahoma is rightfully #1...for now. Alabama's solid, but their 3 point win at home over Kentucky doesn't strike many as too impressive.

That said, Oklahoma has a chance to prove they're deserving of their near unanimous #1 ranking this weekend against Texas.

Why? Have you watched any of the teams play other than the usual suspects? Is it anymore retarded than preseason rankings or the idea of a teams entitlement based on pedigree?

Kentucky is a very good team that was undefeated. They both beat the same team earlier by about the same score. They play in the same conference which is always makes for a tougher game. Bama missed 2 field goals, fumbled on Kentucky's one yard line, missed a pat, and threw an int. The fact they were still able to pull through against a very good Kentucky shows me a lot more than an Oklahoma squad beating a very sub par Baylor team. Oklahoma is a good team, and one of my favorites, but I'll reserve my judgement until they play at least one quality program, which thankfully will be this weekend.

A few interesting notes from the preview of the 19ths BCS rankings as of this week...

• Alabama is still the nation's No. 1 team in cyberspace, being ranked first by four computers and second by the other.

• Vanderbilt is No. 1 -- yes, you actually read those words -- in the Massey Ratings. But even after you throw out that number, the Commodores are still tied with Missouri for the second-best computer average.

• Perhaps the least significant story line of this weekend's Red River Rivalry: The game will break a tie between the Sooners and Longhorns in the BCS computers. They are currently tied for fifth … slightly behind Utah.

If the BCS computer ranking was released today here is how they'd be ranked....

1. Alabama
2. Missouri
2. Vanderbilt
4. Utah
5. Oklahoma
5. Texas

yeah it's early. alabama might not be the best team in the country but based on their current resume I'd agree with that right now as a fan or not but it's only half-way through the season and there are a lot of games to play and once all teams have played their big games it will look different. Alabama is #4 in the country with # of starting freshman and I think that reared it's head with the penalties, etc. this past weekend and will bite them at some point over the season. I think OK is the best team but they haven't played a top 25 team yet but they will and they'll be at the top and the the other teams who haven't gotten to the meat of their schedule will have their chance too. It is crazy to see some of those teams on their though.
