Just opened up my Colossus! I was very skeptical but can now say I am a proud owner. I like it very much. I dont mind the metallic head, in the right lighting and when looking at it form a distance they really are not distracting. My biggest concern was the size, he is certainly bigger than some of the other X Men comiquettes. It is a very heavy statue. Height wise its all good, he stands about even with most comiquettes except that he is crouching so its very easy to imagine him standing a whole inch or two taller if he was straightened out. Best part is the sheer size of his muscular frame. His legs and arms look huge next to nightcrawler or the AH Rogue. Paint Job is great. Overall, im satisfied and dont feel I need to make any changes to him. Heck, I think I might even post some pics of him. which I def did not plan on doing. The strength of this statue is demonstrated when displayed next to other comiquettes. To compare him to a PF is simply not appropriate.

I was furious when I first saw the face but I really dont mind it now. I guess because when X statues are together my eyes are drawn to Rogues curves and Psylockes sexy eyes, the action of nightcrawler and then the massive muscle size on Colossus. My natural instinct is to see how much bigger his leg and arm size is than everyone else around him. Which is what a Colossus statue should do. The sculpt design is much better in person than pics.

Well, received the EX #197 today. The statue arrived and is in perfect shape. UPS just kicked the crap out of my box though. To make matters worse when the peeps at SSC taped the portion of the styrofoam that holds the base in place, they taped the flap of the box to it as well. So now the flap was torn off the box as well. Should I even bother contacting SSC about this?
Anyways, the piece is exactly what I expected. Love it except for the face. He is a heavy sucker. Now the search for someone to fix the face begins.

And, yes, contact Sideshow about the box. I know of others that have had damaged boxes replaced so it can't hurt to give them a call.
