Would you happen to remember what other sites you shopped?

Any answers back from them?

On this new card that got hit...you name the 1/6 shop, and I have a charge on there from it. Mostly places that sell loose 1/6 items. I emailed several of them, but honestly, I don't know if they will respond. I can't blame them for the hack either, because I do almost all of my non-grocery shopping online, and any number of stores could be the source of the hack.

The most frustrating thing about all of this, is that the media isn't carving Heartland a new poop shoot.

I do most of my shopping online too, so it's been hard for me to identify where the frauds I've had now and in the past have generated from. I know when my card was hit, I had ordered from a couple loose figure vendors too.

If you guys got hit make sure to get yourself a police report for id theft. This is your insurance policy in case you get subcriptions or invoices months from now. This will allow you to fight the charges easily.

Well I got a call at 8 am this morning that I just purchased $1000 worth of computer gear. Needless to say I didn't and called discover and cancelled the card. This sucks pretty hard.

I do a lot of my shopping online and some of the merchants have a checkout that when you checkout they direct you to some Visa or MasterCard website to officially authorize the checkout and it prompts you to enter in some private information. I usually back out, but do you guys know what I'm talking about?

Yes i do i usually stay away also.

I don't know, but I just had to call up and ^^^^^ out my Visa card fraud department. Been over a month and still waiting for the paperwork to sign to get my money back, which will only be after the investigation. This really has been a pain in the ass. I had a SS order be declined because of the linked CC, and just had to update my bowen account. I can't remember what other companies I used to automate payments with.

That blows.

I just made an order with CSC not too long ago, I hope nothing happens. I'll be keeping a close eye on my CC for the foreseeable future.

I use my debit card a lot for online shopping, and recently when I tried to use my debit card the cashier said it was not going through. So I called my bank and they said my debit info was breach so they had disabled my card and they did actually send me a new card prior to it happening but I just ignored it and had put it on the side. I asked them what store was it used when it was breached, they said there was a lot and I'm not the only victim it happened to a lot of other people. Glad my bank took care of it before anything happened.

This is the same thing that happened to me, except they called me before I got a decline.

Yeah they usually call but this time they sent me a new card telling me to destroy my old one even tho the expiration was on 2011. But I do have calls when I'm out of state and use my card to verify I'm doing the purchase.

I got hit recently with this whole mess too. I never received a corner store E-mail warning either. It was boards like this that led me to the truth. I'm still getting crap in the mail from places I've never ordered from. I've always liked CSC but I have to say my days of shopping with them are over.

I should mention my last order with them was Oct of 2008.

Put the items you received back in your mail box marked "Return to Sender". Don't toss em out, just return them. This way they won't send you a bill for the items assuming you wanted and received them.

Thanks, I have been. I've called most of the companies before sending them back too. Some of them have been pretty cool about it. Some have been real A-Holes about it too though. It's just been a pain all around.

Any word from CSC on this whole mess? Would they charge me a cancellation fee if I cancelled my Two Face due to their error?

I've never used Cornerstone but my card had to be cancelled yesterday due to a use that had nothing to do with me. I got a call from VISA asking if I'd just done a transaction with a company called 'westacott investments' for 1euro91. Needless to say I hadn't. I'm glad I was notified so quickly - within an hour. But dammit.

Anyway I thought it must be spyware on my computer from one porn site or another but my brother reckons not because AVG appears to have all that crap locked down. He said that it could have been a leak on one of the sites I buy off.

My main stores for 1/6ths are Toys2.net and Sideshow. I also use Bigbadtoystore, staractionfigures, and both Forbidden planet sites for star wars toys. Toyglobe I used once early last year and they ripped me off to the tune of almost 200euro*. And I recently used Hobbylinkjapan. I don't have paypal. Apart from toyglobe these have all come with many recommendations on this and other forums so what are the chances of something going on there?

*Toyglobe would seem an obvious culprit because I know for a fact I'm not the only person they've conned. Anyway I didn't change my credit card after using them, I'm sure this was unwise. It just seems like the beginning of last year is a long time to sit on it if indeed someone there decided to take advantage. Or maybe I'm naive. To be honest I'd be hoping it was them though and that the problem doesn't lie with any of the other companies I use regularly.
