The new SS policy is refering to the Patient Zero PF. If your card declines for whatever reason, your order is CANCELED on the spot and a wait list member is contact. No second chances. No fixing the problem. Just SOL.

I can confirm that I provided CSC/AT with a credit card during a preorder about a week ago, one if the items came in on Friday and they tried charging my card and today I have charges from AARP and a few other mysterious websites on my card.
 
Yeah, I suppose it serves us right...

I certainly wasn't trying to say that or be a *&^%, just that I personally would never order from them (or any company that was so careless).

It seems like the charge itself is what exposed the card. I placed the order (I believe) on Saturday over a full week before any of my items were in stock. No problems.

CSC/AT runs my card on Friday and sometime between then and today (I didn't check it over the 3-day weekend) I get charges.

So yeah, you may have an order on file there but it could be "safe" until they attempt to pull out the funds.

and this is a brand-spanking new card that I've only used at a few places. I'm sure it's not Amazon because this type of thing from Amazon would literally be national news.

Fact is, CSC/AT charges my card and I have fraudulent charges literally within the next business day, and they're the same type of random crap charges that were going on before.

Ultimately CSC/AT was my go-to shop, I knew better than to order from them again but my earlier compromise was relatively light (less than $50 altogether) so I rolled the dice, but not without a little common sense. I decided I wouldn't give them my debit card, just a crappy credit card with a $250 limit. I had the card all of 2 months and used it online only at Amazon plus a few reputable places in-person and practically as soon as CSC/AT gets the number the fraudulent charges begin.

This is a credit card number that I got after the fraud so it's not even as if it was a leftover from the fraud days. It was a new, safe number and it was compromised practically instantly.

Same here so far, but I know they are shipping DCUC series 8 out now and they are the ones I ordered from. But I haven't been charged for them yet. So who knows. I found out about this again on the Fwoosh, is is a big superhero toy board so numerious people order their DCUC from CSC.

I can handle this happening once. But a second time? If it does, I'm through with CSC for good, which would be too bad because I'm rather pleased with thier selction and prices.
 
That's the thing that sucks. If I didn't like everything about CSC/AT I wouldn't have given them a second shot. They have a great selection, they usually get their product pretty soon compared to other retailers, they have great customer service etc. Great prices, low shipping etc.

I wish I could be posting here reporting that it's now safe to order from them but that just isn't the case. As it stands they're the only place that has ONLY my current credit card number. Everywhere else is probably a 70% debit card/30% credit card split in regards to which one I use yet CSC/AT only has the credit card and my debit is fine.

Literally everything points to them. It sucks but it's true.
 
Man, if this is true, then I'm done with CSC. Thankfully I haven't bought anything from them since the last scare, and they don't have my new card.
 
In the last few hours more than a few people have come out of the woodworks at the Fwoosh saying they've been hit too.

During the first compromise I managed to luck out for a long time and though it was tempting I didn't post in these forums about how I had managed to evade the bogus charges. I just kept my mouth shut and hoped I might be preventing myself from some sort of jinx by not announcing that I was out of the woods.

At the end of the day the last one taught me that it's just a matter of time. If they have your card while people are being compromised you're gonna get it sooner or later.
 
Well, I have some old pre-orders like Harvey Dent/HT and for my suprise on sunday morning I picked up the phone and my credit card's operator asked if I have bought at apple store. I said no and they cancelled my credit card. I must wait around a week to receive a new one.
At the same time I have sent an email to Corner to ask what I have to do to keep my orders or to cancel someone.
I haven't receive any answer until now. I have sent another message now and I will wait it.
Hey, Thomas/Corner, if you are reading this, please, give an answer for your customers!
 
Ok, after the Corner Store issue, I went ahead and got a new card. They have it - and I used it for online and day-to-day purchases. And guess what? This new card (several months old) has already been compromised. Since 5/24, I have 5 pending charges for the Applestore, 2 for Jcpenny, and 1 from a Yahoo Wallet....

Now, there is no indication as the source, but its getting to the point where ordering online is DANGEROUS. I have had my card compromised 2x via paypal, 1x time with Corner Store and 1x time with (?) Apple....

I am beyond frustrated.

And not to fuel this, but CSC authorized a charge earlier this week for the Clone trooper. Fraud charges appeared after that.

Just received an answer. Corner will work my questions tomorrow. They've got back from holidays.
