Re: Current discount codes at SSC and other random rumblings - YEAR15 for $20 off

I have the same issue on some of my orders. Even accounting for the discount codes applied during Black Friday, the points don't add up. Last I heard from SS was "I'll report it to the web team". Nothing since then. That was over a month ago.

Re: Current discount codes at SSC and other random rumblings - YEAR15 for $20 off

Has anybody else had there reward points corrected? I sent screenshots to customer service for my orders that don't say double points or triple points they show specific dollar amounts as cash back yet the answer i got seemed completely automated and didnt reference what I sent them. Message me if you have had anything corrected. I know its 5-10 bucks but across 5-6 orders that like 40 dollars for me especially when the Hulk banner was supposed to earn 51 dollars in rewards. Thanks everyone

I contacted customer service via Live Chat and in a day or so, I had my double points added since they were not applied in the first place. You also have to wait like 40 days before they're applied, yes?

Re: Current discount codes at SSC and other random rumblings - YEAR15 for $20 off

Sideshow Alex CS responded to me and blew me off. I even provided screenschots for FIVE orders. All stating a discount with a SPECIFIC dollar amount in rewards not a double or triple rewards offer. for example Ada Wong was offered with, the Screenshot shows clearly, 10%off+free shipping+27.00 back in rewards. That order is short about 3 dollars in points. I also ordered The mandarin, Iron Patriot, Hulk/Banner, and Jor el with offers worded in the same manner. The words I was told is that those were "General offers" and were actually calculated of the discount and the specific amount basically meant nothing. What does a general offer even mean. Not a good business practice

What?

I just chatted with Elisse, and she told me to send the screenshots for my (very similar) problem. Offer CLEARLY STATED the amount you were getting back, period. All those coupons they offered were calculated and the amount of RP one was getting back were also clearly written in bold letters.

I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt until I get an actual response. It's not that $5-$6 make a difference, far from it. But it is false advertisement if that's the case.

Re: Current discount codes at SSC and other random rumblings - YEAR15 for $20 off

I got the same response about the wording the first time I called. No other discounts were applied so the reward points should be the exact amount shown for the promotion.

Re: Current discount codes at SSC and other random rumblings - YEAR15 for $20 off

Just an FYI on the shipping charges. As of 1/1/15 UPS and FedEx now dim weight ALL packages, so those 3-4 LB HT figs are now being charged as though they are 11 or 12 lbs depending on the size of the box.

Re: Current discount codes at SSC and other random rumblings - YEAR15 for $20 off

Trust me I feel the same way. It is not alot of money but it definetely does not leave a good feeling about ordering from them in the future if they are promoting things innaccurately. I have sent at least 8 emails back and forth and have not been happy about how I have been treated. I was initially given a lesson in the email as if I dont know how points work and again when provided Screens they say its a " GENERAL OFFER" What?

I mean if it was a mistake on one offer or even two during spooktacular I could possibly let it go with no ill will as an honest mistake but 5 of my orders?! 3 of which were not during spooktacular. Customer Service is either not trained properly or they just straight out lied to us to get orders.

Thanks for the info. Strange, I remember in 2014 my company stopped putting dimensions on our UPS packages because the weight was the only value that changed the shipping price, unless the package was over-sized. How things change. Apparently for the worse in this case.

Re: Current discount codes at SSC and other random rumblings - YEAR15 for $20 off

Are you guys just calling or emailing customer service or are you reporting missing rewards through the form here: Report Missing Rewards Form | Sideshow Collectibles ?
I used the form, received an e-mail from the processing coordinator Jeff Dean, sent him the screen caps with the specific dollar amounts from the promotions, and got my missing rewards points adjusted in about two weeks.

That's great news for companies shipping bricks and rocks. :)

I did it all through chat. Sent the email with screen caps to Elisse.

Don't know if I should try to do the form as well....

Re: Current discount codes at SSC and other random rumblings - YEAR15 for $20 off

Hi All!

So sorry about the mishap with the rewards and orders you placed during Black Friday. I've spoken directly to our Customer Service manager and he (and myself) want to ensure y'all get the points that are due to you. Please PM your names, email addresses and order numbers in question. I will create a list of all that information and hand it over personally, so that your order can be verified as owed some more reward points and if so to then have those applied to your account. Please note that it may take up to a 5 business days (from the day you send me a PM with your info) to see any changes reflected in your account for these reward point. Again I am so sorry for the recent frustration many of you have had with getting the rewards that are owed to you. We will get this worked out for folks that are owed points. :)

Re: Current discount codes at SSC and other random rumblings - YEAR15 for $20 off

I actually reached out once through chat and never heard back. Then I filled out the missing points form and thats the respone i got back. That my points are correct and it was an Ashley that basically tried to give me the lesson on how rewards work in conjuction with discounts and double/triple rewards and disregarded the screen shots I sent. I was actually in touch with Mistress of the Web on Twitter and she e-mailed me saying it was corrected but nothing has changed. It driving me crazy because i know o have two orders pending that will also be short and CS does not seem to care.

Re: Current discount codes at SSC and other random rumblings - YEAR15 for $20 off

I deal with this stuff fro both sides every single day - and have for 8 years now, running my own business. I sympathize greatly with consumers and put myself in my customers shoes on a regular basis. But sometimes, and lately far too often, some people just cross the line. I'll say that 100% of the time in the past 8 years it's been customers from the US. Unlike customers from other countries, my experience is that many US folks have an overwhelming sense of entitlement and superiority. I don't think I've ever had anyone else from anywhere in the world talk down to me in an email. I think some customers think this puts them in a position of power, but in reality it just pisses me off. While I need the business, getting on someone's bad side is absolutely never (just bloody never) what you should do if you want things to go even remotely close to your way.

This week it's been a seniors nightmare with two 65+ year old customer just giving me nightmare email after nightmare email when I've been nothing but helpful. It's honestly like reading some bi-polar or split personality fantasy. From one email full of praise to another with threats. People can be real strange and really unkind.

Today I get an email from someone I just communicated with at the start of the week (not one of the seniors I mentioned). They were shipped an order during the holidays from Canada to the US which hasn't arrived yet. They emailed me last weekend sayin that because it hadn't arrived they expected me to overnight ship a replacement. Yeah right. I'm going to spend $150 to overnight a $30 order that they paid $5 for shipping on. Why don't these guys understand that there's just a huge amount of mail delays due to bad weather and holidays? Not to mention the time it takes to pass through customs because of the same? So today marked the 15th day and of course it's "ridiculous" - I agree it's been an unusual amount of time, but I'm not the post office and I can't make the package arrive any faster. Already explained that all orders are 100% guaranteed, and I've never had a customer not receive their goods in 8 years - tens of thousands of deliveries. I just can't guarantee they'll arrive in a specific number of days. I feel like I should just refund their purchase and tell them to pound sand, but that would be a little rude. So I'll wait till Monday to reply because honestly, historically, going out of my way by replying on a weekend only gets me in trouble.

Sorry for the rant, but I've been running an online business for eight years and I've been fed up with self-important entitled jagoffs for a long time now. I needed to vent.

Oh, and in SHARP contrast, every single customer I have ever met here via the board has been an absolute pleasure to deal with, including some repeat business and many people I now consider friends here. Great people here on SSF!
