That's not saying much. I too have Malgus and am a bit disappointed in the paint apps. Sloppy. His hood is staying up and his ventilator is staying on to cover most of the face. Looks great that way.

Edit: no belt hanger for his lightsaber hilt makes no sense to me. What does he do with it when he's not cutting down Jedi? That's one mod I'm going to be doing with the extra Bespin Luke saber clip.

Maybe a little harsh on the paint apps buddy, no?

I think that SSC have done a great job with the head sculpt and the paint job on it. Plenty of detail on that scar and the eyes are SITH eyes all day long.

I don't think I'm being harsh. It's my opinion. I just expect more, especially with Sideshow's new paint app process. I still think he's a great figure but just wasn't wowed when I unboxed. He's the first non-helmeted or non-alien Star Wars figure I've purchased from Sideshow. Broke my own rule because he's a Sith Lord.

:exactly: I agree except with the great figure. I boxed mine back up and will look to part ways with it. While their paint apps have improved it isn't $190 improved and their tailoring is still second class. I don't begrudge them wanting to charge advanced prices but they should back it up. IMO this is $150 (or less ) figure tops. I am concerned about Vader but some freaks whose opinions I trust say its worthy the price tag so I can only hope........

Was this new paint app process applied to Vader? I am genuinely curious.......?

Oh I have no problem with that buddy as we are all entitled to our opinion. :hi5:

I just personally thought that SSC did a really good job with the head and paint but I can see your disappointment in the figure as I had a 'I bought this' moment with him too. But I now really like him and also like you I only bought him due to him being a SITH lord.

I'll be getting mine from Collectiblekitbash tomorrow woohoo.

Let me know what you think buddy.
I'm considering making this my first step into the what I expect will be horrendously slippery slope of Star Wars 1/6th figures.

The issues with him being mega stiff in the suit makes me worry a little though.

Just got mine yesterday and love it! Except.. the body. No double jointed arms and the legs seem funny. This is my first sideshow piece so maybe I'm just not used to it. Anyone change or consider changing the body to something else?

It's the SS Snake Eyes body. A Prometheus with muscle arms. You can very easily swap it out for a normal Prometheus body.

Congratulations buddy. I'm still shocked that the usually slower than slow FP.co.uk got mine delivered to me this past Saturday. I think they may have been the first UK retailers to get heir stock in and I know that Darren at Collectiblekitbash got him earlier than expected.

Anyways post some pics when you get him mate.

He is a bit restrictive but having him displayed in my SW collection is great and he looks badass.

I don't think I would swap the body out personally I just find a pose I like and I will leave him to it. Keep us posted if you do swap the body out.

Yeah I havent decided yet. Not sure how the under suit is removed. If it's easily done I may do it just to see how it looks. Possibly use a ttm regular body. Definitely going to see about making a wired cape though and about to finish my lighted base. Pics to come.

That base is really nice, great work!

I just got my malgus today and really dig him. I need to find a good pose for him still, but this is where he's at right now:

yeah, nice assortment of hands and great detail on the figure. Too bad about the range of motion on it, but it's cool with me since I generally pose my figures in more neutral poses anyway.

Honestly not sure if I'm convinced this guy warrants the price, but I'm still glad I got him. He's a Sith and he looks great on the shelf!

Tell me about it! I watched all the cut scenes with him from the game and he looked badass leaping over the rubble and coming down with his saber in both hands. Wanted to replicate that and little be hold he can't raise his hands up and I doubt he can put both hands on the saber. Oh well, perhaps a new body will fix that. He still has an amazing presence and looks amazing overall, so I'm happy with the purchase.

He is very cool i love everything but the lit up saber is far too chunky and i with they had stuck with the original thinner blades or done a merger of the 2. The colour of the lit up blade is very nice though.

Also i think it's about time they improved their bodies i really dislike the Prometheus and any SS bodies tbh. They never articulate very well and the knee's are horrid. That said he is a great fig and once futzed looks great.
