Where would you cut it? That's one area I wish had some movement but wasn't sure how'd I'd do it.

This is where I'm thinking of making the cut.........if I can pluck up the courage

His belt should disguise the cut

Hey I think you're onto something! Great just after I finish the other mods and think I'm done you give me this awesome idea! You can cut it then shave opposing top and bottom so one will slide under the other. Only thing is I don't remember how the two pieces connect (if you haven't had the suit off, it's two pieces. One front and one back). Need to make sure if you cut it that the cod piece doesn't just fall off! I'm gonna do some research. Let me know if you do it!

I kind of assumed this body armor clipped together (a bit like Fett's cod piece) but just not had the time to strip him down yet. It maybe that the cod piece will just fall off like you say.

Edit: meant to say removed the wire, not hood. :)

Just finished my body swap using a TTM21. Now he has double jointed elbows and legs you can actually pose. Nice thing is everything is reversible. Didn't have to cut or glue anything. Left off the bicep armor to reduce the bulk. Also removed the hood cape wire. Drapes much more naturally now and was an easy fix. Not sure why they went that route to begin with.

Next up is belt hanger for saber hilt and adding a hook to the hilt itself.

Couple of bad quality pics to show results.

If you cut the armour there, the codpiece will not stay on.
BUT... If you make sure and cut it at the exact join point front and back, you could use electricians black PVC insulating tape to wind around the joins in the codpiece. As was said above, the belt will hide the join and then you will get waist movement.

Now you've done it. Put up a picture with red lines in it. Destined to get bad rep for sure. :horror j/k :wink1:

But seriously as you will probably have too strap it some way for it to stay on, maybe you could use black elastic in the back of the plastic to hold the pieces together. You would still get good flex and everything will still fit tight together, maybe at the bottom too?

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Think I will see if I can find some armor parted out. Might be a safer option.
Might also go for the full body swap too :)

Body swap is worth it and you still use the ankle pegs from the TrueType. I trimmed the peg length on the Malgus hands and they fit perfectly. You do lose a little height but it's negligible.

I'd also recommend removing the wire in the hood. It just drapes over the head much more naturally and makes futzing it easier than ever.

Nice! I like it without the bicep armor.

Yeah, he's just so bulky with everything on that I needed to find something I could remove that wouldn't make him look unbalanced. I'd like to do the body armor mod that's being discussed but I don't see a way to connect the lower half of the armor. The stock body actually has ample ab articulation, including the ab crunch, so I just find it strange they didn't make the armor to accommodate that.

Liking this figure the longer I have it.

Darth Magus has arrived and I am so chuffed not only because he's an awesome figure but also because I got him for a very very good price, in fact it was one of these deals which almost seems to good to be true...but it was true :) and i'm up one fantastic piece, forgive the terrible shots he's just right out of the box.

Received Darth Malgus today, overall i was pretty happy with him.
Joints were alittle stiff and articulation is limited but overall it looks nice.
I hope to get a Satele Shan to battle him *fingers crossed*

I've got the SW bug bad at the moment. Thinking about getting this too, looks really menacing.

Has anyone gotten the hood to look even close to this pic? Every photo Ive seen thus far the hood looks way off (this is not intended as an insult to anyone who has posted hooded pics)

I removed the wire from mine and have since been able to get really close to that. There's still a little point at the top but it's not visible at the height I have him displayed.
