yeah i used to keep some of the Unleashed figures and the MR mini sabers on my work desk until an earthquake shook the building and all my stuff got knocked off the desk. to this day nobody will admit going in my office. i even promised not to get mad even though a couple things got scratched and messed up. (i just want someone to admit their guilt)

Well add me to the list of unhappy people who has a maul that won't ignite. My worst fears have come true.

I know I have been waiting for this thing. I kept in good spirits and had the rubbing alcohol ready. No success. Man this is my first PF too!

Tom,

Mine didn't light up at first either. I thought I had the hand all the way in the first time but I didn't. I had to push it on pretty hard to get it to seat itself in the connector all the way. I grabbed on the lower forearm and just shoved the hand on tight.

I just bit the bullet and pushed like an SOB. I am happy to report ---->:maul

It seems odd the way this, and maybe the other PFs with light up sabers, work, seems like it's a method prone to problems, I wonder why not just build it so it's all together and then you just put the blades into the saber out of the box and push on, oh well, here's crossing fingers.

Yeah, its a bummer for sure especially on your first one.

When you contact them for a replacement, be sure to tell them that you already tried all the things they are recommending in their troubleshooting e-mail, including the alcohol. Maybe that will speed things up for you.

Strangely, the connection on Maul is not the same as Vader or Obi-Wan. I tried to troubleshoot by swapping components with the other two PFs in my collection that work fine, but where Vader and Ben's lightsabers have the male end and the hand/hilt has the female socket, Maul was engineered the opposite way. The forearm has the male plug sticking out of it, and the saber/hand attachment is the female end. I thought I could plug Ben or Vader's saber into Maul's wrist to troubleshoot the problem, but the male-male connection made it impossible. (Insert joke here...)

Yeah, I had to push mine a little harder than I expected cause at first it didn't work but then I took it off and pushed it back on hard. It worked from that point. Anyways glad your is working and enjoy this awesome piece!! :rock

Pushing hard does make mine turn on, but releasing the pressure turns it right back off again. The only way to keep it on is to apply constant pressure. Now matter how hard I push, it won't maintain contact once I let go.
