Now don't get me wrong, I agree that this bust was the way to go, but I'm hoping for a ROTS Vader too, somewhere down the line...

Although this definitely needed to be done first...

Also, I only prefer the look of ROTS Vader, Anakin was still a whiny ***** until he got to ANH...when he became UBER BADASS...

i think knowing Vader is a mechanical whiny bratty b1tch under the dark mechanical facade gives him much more depth.

Yep, while Luke could be a little ^^^^^ at times... when push came to shove he took care of business. Anakin turned because he was essentially a drama queen.

That's how it came off on screen, but the underlying reason was his love for Padme and his attachment to her. As was said, attachment is forbidden for Jedi, and his fall is why. He became so engrossed in his need of her in his life that he would stop at nothing to ensure her always being a part of it, and grew obsessed with becoming poweful enough to prevent such a loss, and as he felt he was gaining such a power, he felt he could shape the entire galaxy into exactly what he wanted it to be for himself. His downfall was that he needed Palpatine for this, and over the years came to trust him exclusively and when he lost his family, Palpatine was all he had left so he became the bitter, evil Darth Vader of A New Hope. After that, ESB and ROTJ was a conflicted Vader torn over the discovery of family still alive and remnants of Anakin' Skywalker's past life still out there and it shattered his trust in Palpatine and he began to fend for himself, thus pleading for Luke's life in ESB and ultimately choosing his son over his master. There were always tones of devotion to family in the OT, but it wasn't really until after the PT that the conflict really showed and made sense.

Even as a bigger SW fan, I'd have to completely disagree with that statement :lol

Still prefer the OT to LOTR, but no contest that LOTR beats the PT IMO.

I was just being an ass. :)

I actually haven't seen Two Towers or Return of the King.

Was done out of spite many years ago. I am over it now...I suppose I could see the other two now. :D
