will be seeing this tonight, still have my fingers crossed.

maybe the execs got cold feet with the inevitable comparisons that would ensue between Ledger, Nicholson and his portrayal. I take them as individual separate performance/intrepretations of the character. No one is better than the other. IMHO, Nicholson's Joker was more comic if you ask me, Ledger's was creepy insane calm, Leto's is just flat out insane (from what I've seen).
When does Kanye play?
I updated the list with some songs (still incomplete) in order (if I remembered correctly)
The Animals - The House Of The Rising Sun
The Rolling Stones - Sympathy For The Devil
Lesley Gore/Grace, G-eazy - You Don't Own Me
Rick James - Superfreak
Skrillex & Rick Ross - Purple Lamborghini
AC/DC - Dirty Deeds Done Dirty Cheap (I think? during Cpt. Boomerang's introduction)
CCR - Fortunate Son
Black Sabbath - Paranoid
Kanye West - Black Skinhead
Eminem - Without Me
Norman Greenbaum - Spirit In The SKey
War - Slippin' into Darkness
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
Kehlani - Gansta
???
CREDITS
Twenty One Pilots - Heathens
Lil Wayne Wiz Khalifa... - Sucker For Pain
???

This film has SMACKED from the beginning of "try too hard" syndrome, as well as a healthy dose of "let be different/stylized" paranoia.
These character do not need any of that, they have stood on there own for 50 years , with plenty of continuity and strong character structure. In a vain attempt to "update" the classic, they screwed it up. (no surprise)
We we are getting is a marketing/demographic/formula film, they tried to be everything and ends up being nothing.
Films continue down this executive led path, guided by people with little or no creative writing ability or understanding of the genre and why its maintained it popularity for so long.
When I first saw the promo pics all I could think of was this episode of the Simpsions.....

Adding the "Damaged" tattoo on his forehead was the egads moment equivalent to giving Poochie the dark sunglassesThat first video reminds me of how they came up with the joker design lol
Sigh.... So I guess Fabio was right all along about this movie.
Sunday or Monday for me...
It's just odd that they used the Joker heavily in the marketing then decided to cut him out. Surely having a Joker heavy movie would have been the safe option?...
Only two percentage points away from BvS now.
I'll let you know what I think goose, we seem to have similar tastes.
