Too late!

MUAHAHAHAHA!! :lol

Dammit! We need that negged feedback option back! :lol

Maybe you'd get an answer to your PM from last week on the date. :monkey3

Before or after being wined and dined?

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Hopefully SS has some kick ass action, or at least some memorable endearing characters for me to latch onto.

It definitely has the latter. For action don't go in expecting parkour acrobatics or anything so nothing on the level of Russo Cap fighting or BvS warehouse scene. It's more of an 80's/90's style shoot 'em up.

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

Here's my take on all this MCU is generic crapola.

I don't go to a superhero movie to find the meaning of life.

I go to see bad ass superheroes and villains do cool stuff and beat each other up in glorious fashion, especially with what modern effects allows.

For me DC has given me that excitement in small doses.

Simply put, Winter Soldier and Civil War are like watching a 5 hour version of the BvS warehouse scene.

Almost the entire run time of TWS and CW is that warehouse scene from BvS.

So for me, it is DC who are not giving me what I want, not Marvel.

DC might not be generic, but they're certainly almost as boring as an X-Men movie.

Exactly! :lecture

I go see superhero movies to see a comic book come to life and be entertained.

Yikes, Dave really let himself go. :doh

Not just the action. The Joker/Harley chemical dip scene was straight out of a mid 90's goth film, imo.

That's cool, i'm also ok with that if it delivers the goods.

As long as I have FUN watching it, i'll be content.

Look, I love STM and Batman 89 yet neither have Russo level action.

Reeve's charm as the MOS and Kent plus Krypton, Kansas and NYC and seeing a man fly in a non cheesy manner for the 1st time in cinematic history provides me with the same thrills as Russo's action scenes.

Keaton's costume, his persona and our first cinematic "Dark Knight" provides me with the same thrills as Russo's action scenes.

MCU are firing on all cylinders, I just want the same level of fun and thrills from DC who I love as much as the Marvel characters.

I'd take SS over GotG anyday. I can understand these guys trying to save the world, but Gamora trying to stop Thanos still makes no sense.

Also at least the villain wasn't taken out by a dance-off. *****. :lol

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

more rumours of deleted Suicide Squad scenes by someone claiming to have seen a screening in May

Joker and Harley are then in their penthouse and Harley asks who Joker loves the most and he says the one person who makes me the happiest and the furious and she gets excited and hops on his lap and he stands and screams THE BAT. I miss our old squabbles I miss how angry he got! You remember the good old days Harley! When we took care of that little birdy! And it cuts to Batman holding Joker by the collar as a building is on fire in the background (probably Wayne manor) and he says you've crossed the line i'm gonna hurt you joker. And his response is "Not the face! I damage easily!" And it cuts back to the bar scene
Then the film continues on until they reach the end then joker shows up with half his face burned by the helicopter crash and tells Harley that it's been a rough night and to come home with daddy! And Deadshot shoots at him as joker goes on a tirade talking about how he's the king of Gotham and how he broke the bat and none of them even came close! He then drops the smoke grenade and leaves. Then the film moves on the same. And the ending where Joker breaks out Harley was added to the official release which I liked

If mindless fighting against cg zombie monsters with no feeling of real threat is your idea of a good time, you'll be in heaven here.

A lot of people have plenty of complaint about Leto, and honestly, if they took 20 minutes to watch the Harley and Ivy episode in the animated series, they'd see why he's been the best Joker. Even without those other scenes, he played the part perfectly as Joker. Especially the purring and growling he does.

Boy that sounds great. Who's the idiot that cut this movie?

Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

I just hope that rumour is true. Since it was in that version, it's already been edited which means that it could be on the blu-ray?

BTW new Joker picture:

We unfortunately don't know if we're getting an alternate cut or not, but David Ayer said there would be plenty of deleted scenes on the bluray. Worst case scenario is that a passionate fan takes to deleted scenes and re-edits them into the film for a fan cut of the movie.

Domesticated Joker who can't find his socks without Harley is the last thing I want to see. I get some people grew up with that cartoon and it's their favorite version of those characters, but that's the same Joker who was a coward...a complete coward from the Joker's Favor episode. I liked the show as a kid, but it's far from what I consider definitive.

Well that's what I meant by being on the blu-ray. I'm not expecting an alternate cut on the blu-ray. As long as it's on the blu-ray. :wink1:

Could you imagine:

Ah, gotcha. Well you're in luck then! Lol, for sure getting deleted scenes on the bluray. Not sure how many though. Hoping for all of the cut Joker ones. And I REALLY hope there are some with Cap. Boomerang. Such a great, but underused character in the film!
