I also saw the helicopter scene as though the joker new his death was coming and he did not want Harley with him in his final blaze of glory

gawd I love that scene

No, it's Bruce Timm's fault.

Paul Dini came up with her, Bruce Timm drew her.

But the 00's and 2010's have diverse villains. Hell, Loki is the most popular Marvel villain, and he's far from a badass...

I didn't say that villains stopped being diverse. But I do notice many who apparently were so deprived of icons that when one finally came along in 2008 they clung to it and can't let go. karamazov's list is a great example of how lacking they've been the last 15 years. I mean "Galacticloud" even made his Top 5! :lol Loki's got nothing on Ledger or the classic baddies from the 70's and 80's. Bane was mocked incessantly for tearing up and liking Talia. "Just another Edward from Twilight" as today's kids like to say. Today it's Leto's Joker, last year it was Kylo Ren, everyone needs to be Heath Ledger as the Joker because he's the only foundation some people seem to have.

Nothing wrong with that of course, people get to like what they like, I think it's just becoming more apparent why some new villains seemingly go under the radar and others are vocally rejected.

But it's not like people don't watch films from the 90's and 80's. Maybe Ledgjoker is that kewl and awesome :chase :monkey3

DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)

As an X-Men fan, I'm very happy with the villains in the series. Both Magneto's, Stryker and Old Trilogy Mystique were great. Spiderman series had Green Goblin and Doc Ock, I wasn't a fan of Ock but people loved him, and I really enjoyed Dafoe as GG, Daredevil series has Kingpin and Punisher to a certain extent, MCU has Loki, then there's Terrance Stamp's Zod, Jack Nicholson's Joker, Returns Catwoman and Penguin, and Bane. There have been plenty of great villains, Leto wouldn't crack my top 15 and that's sad considering he's playing the greatest villain in all of comics.
