Re: DC's "Suicide Squad" (August 5th, 2016)
I've agreed. I've mentioned that story isn't original, and that is very expository; but good story telling is subjective and in Hollywood a rarity in product. Even Oscar nominated films are a bit unoriginal. Story can be vague like when they had to extract "the high priority personnel", why this person? Who are they? Boom! Oh its Amanda Waller...what do you know.
I think it's the opposite of incoherent, but rather too blatant.
I guess it also is idiotic considering BvS, which I also enjoyed, was very faulty and took me 2 viewings to get the concept of the story, and it wasn't until seeing the Ultimate Edition where we got all the answers. The first theatrical product should have explained everything, and leave it to WB to **** that up. Seeing SS so many times, I don't see how anything was abstract or subtle. It's blatant, it's unoriginal; the reality is many of these films are. Horrible and the worst CBM or movie of 2016 really doesn't make sense.
I know you guys like it and taste is relative but the movie doesnt work at tellling a good story or even a coherent story.
That was kinda my point. It might be a pretty movie with pretty songs but it doesnt really work as what a movie is meant to do. Tell a cohesive story
I guess this movie is almost abstract art
